almost every fight in kny is won through the direct or indirect solidarity of the demon slayers vs the individualism of the demons—a repetitive theme in most shonen—that really works well with the story's message of humanity triumphing over evil not in terms of raw power but in numbers and collectivism
humans might fall short in comparison with the demons but they win because they are a unit, their strength comes from their belief in others, which the story demonstrates over and over to hammer in this idea, that no person as powerful as they may be (including yoriichi tsugikuni himself) is able to win on his own
even in 'solo' battles like tanjiro fighting the hands demon his success is only obtained because of the training he received from makomo and sabito, muichiro couldn't have won over gyokko if it weren't for kotetsu, kanamori and tetsuido, and zenitsu would have met his end if it weren't for yushiro
it's a bit cheesy, but your connections to others can really save your life, humans are social creatures and it's rare that we achieve anything on our own, especially change. change requires plenty of work and assistance. every movement, every revolution won is achieved by collation. we fight and work hard for our loved ones, we're able to get up and continue for their sake and we do our best to create a better world for them
there is something inherently human about accepting that you're one out of many, that you are small and insignificant but that you are also part of the bigger picture. muzan can cultivate all the power in the world but he still wouldn't stand a chance against the unbroken chain of people who are willful and have one another. even he understood that by the end of his life and opted to turn tanjiro into a demon if it meant his dreams could survive

Wind down doodle, two different versions beneath the cut. While looking for reference I found a kind of blister beetle called a aokamikirimodoki that has a color scheme like the hand guard of her sword. : D

sanemi really tried so hard to be genya's ghost didn't he? he was so insistent on giving genya a proper life at the expense of his own only for it to end the other way around he came up with this mathematical equation in his head where the two of them couldn't be happy simultaneously genya's happiness = his misery and he believed this so sincerely that it became a set rule and a reality

Unhinged observation:
Sanemi has small feet.

Like not really small but small for his size.

I thought it was like the anime's style but

His foot size seems to be smaller compared to other characters

Here's Tanjiro's feet for comparison

Here's Rengoku's(RIP King), notice the hand vs foot size

Look at Genya's

Compare that to Sanemi's

It's so funny to imagine this grumpy, big man trying to be all scary stomping around in his women's size 7 sandals, like boy sit down 😭
