But to shorten it, Enas has two children, Mohammed and Hala, both very young. During the genocide, her husband was murdered. Leaving Enas to raise her two children alone. They are left without a father figure, they are left without income or shelter, they are left amidst the pain and destruction alone.

How is Enas supposed to care for her children? How will she provide the necessary healthcare? The food? Water? How will she protect her children from diseases and infections running rampant? How will she prevent malnutrition? How will she raise them in a stable and healthy environment, when all they know is bombing, grief and loss. Every child deserves to live a good childhood, surrounded by love and warmth. They didn't deserve to watch their father die - we as humans should be doing everything in our power to prevent this heartbreak.

I am a wife, a mother, and one of many women in Gaza trying to survive days that feel like they have no end. There was a short time �� a brief ceasefire — where we thought things might start to heal. Where the sound of war faded for just long enough to let us breathe. But that moment is gone now, and the fear has returned louder than before.

My days are filled with uncertainty, and my nights with prayer. We have lost so much. Our home was damaged, our sense of safety taken from us. But through all of this, I try to keep going. I try to hold on to what little peace I can create with my hands, my words, and my love.

I am not asking for much. Just a little help to keep our lives from falling further apart. To fix the small things — a cracked wall, a leaking roof, the pieces of daily life that help us hold on to dignity.

I write these words with my heart almost breaking with pain, and our hope for life now resting on a miracle. My father, a man who has always been a symbol of strength and patience, whom I have witnessed throughout my life stand firm in the face of every challenge, is now too weak to fight alone💔💔

His cancer has destroyed his body beyond description. His health has deteriorated rapidly, and he is now in the hospital, in pain every moment. The doctors have told us that he needs urgent surgery abroad, an operation that might give him hope of survival. But the problem we face today is not the treatment itself, but the money. We need help; we cannot afford the costs of travel and treatment abroad, and I cannot see my father in pain without being able to help him These are reports proving that my father has cancer and this is also a referral from the hospital to leave Gaza for treatment, but there is no money to be able to do that.

I cannot describe to you how a father's heart feels when he is separated from his children in these moments of pain, nor how I felt when I saw his tears as he begged me to help him, but I was powerless, unable to secure the treatment he needed. Today, I appeal to you… not just for financial assistance, but in the hope that you will be a factor in saving the life of the dearest person to my heart.

Every minute that passes increases the risk of losing him, and every moment of pain I see in his eyes makes the situation more difficult. He is not just a father; he is my everything, and without him, I don't know what the world would be like. Please, if you are able to help, don't hesitate. Asking for help is not easy; it’s very embarrassing, especially for a family that used to live a decent life. My husband and I completed our university education with distinction, worked in respectable jobs, and were used to helping others, not asking for help. But the war has turned our lives into a nightmare; we lost our home, our sources of income, and even our ability to provide the simplest of needs.

I'm Hanan. For the past 13 months, we have been struggling to get healthy food and medicine for my child, whose weak body was attacked by infection, and for my elderly mother-in-law, who fell into a coma for several days and almost lost her life due to anemia caused by our inability to provide healthy food, as prices have risen more than 10 times. Now, we have run out of everything. While you are reading my message, my family and I are trying to survive amidst all kinds of suffering.

What was once a beautiful dream and reality has now become a nightmare. Starvation is one thing, but starving, freezing, and being forced to flee in the middle of the night when tanks suddenly arrive in your area, running for your life and your family’s life under fire, leaving behind everything you built over the years, and returning after 5 months of suffering in displacement and tents to find that your home, where you lived your happiest moments, is nothing but rubble, is something completely different! 💔😓

Can you feel my broken heart now? Can you imagine what I’m going through at this moment? Everything I am living now cannot be described with words, and every moment here is filled with pain and fear. We desperately need your help, as we live in hope of escaping Gaza to save our lives and live safely away from the explosions.

Seconding all this and the fact that it got me into writing more genuine (at least to me) romance for my own characters. Cause when I watched it, I was a huge "romance is super cringe and can we get back to the plot now?"

But Strange Magic?

HOO BOY, that movie changed my brain chemistry. Is it an objectively good movie? Probably not, considering nobody else, family or friend, enjoyed it, but god do I love it. Plus the relationship between the two leads was super awesome, it was something I hadn't really seen in a lot of movies as a kid, and I appreciate it a lot as an adult.

I didn't think I had a strong contender for my top "movie that is objectively bad but I will die on its hill". I have since learned that the movie is, in fact, motherfucking Strange Magic.
