Delusional. Just straight up delusional
Mike doesn't act "crazy" with El?
1- HE CALLED HER EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR 353 DAYS, STAYING HOPEFUL SHE WOULD COME BACK
2- HE LITERALLY HIT BILLY WHEN HE WAS CHOKING EL
I totally understand what you're saying about him looking a bit "crazy". But I'm not sure that's what he was trying to say in that scene.
He would do anything for El, just as he would do anything for his other friends. It's not about romance; it's about love, and that's a totally different thing.
AND I'm open to the idea that I might be "delusional", and I'm okay with that. Haha

Hello Byler Nation!
Today I come with a wild thought of mine (I'm probably projecting or just delusional).
Does anyone here have the impression that Mike never acted "crazy" towards Eleven? At least not in the way he meant.
And he acts a lot like that towards dear Will.

“Mike was always super protective of Will"

"Will always leaned on him"

"You could never really tell if it was something romantic or just like a really special friendship.”

"Byler wouldn't make sense. It'd be fan service and ruin everything."
My honest, motherfucking reaction:

No seriously how do people watch this and NOT see it.

Just a quick thought about Will.
Since we don't know why he was kidnapped, there's a lot we can speculate about. I think there are signs that there was a reason for it.
I think the most common idea is that Will has superpowers, and I believe that too. I have a very well-structured argument on the subject.
On the other hand, I love the idea of the world being saved by ordinary people. As Galadriel said, "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future."
I had a crazy thought over breakfast today (so you can see how my mind is still on this show): I'm still working with the idea that Will was taken on purpose, not just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I can't think of a motive that makes sense, though. Maybe he fit the profile used by Vecna later on? Maybe he had something non-magical in his constitution? I don't know.
Maybe what explains the "true sight" and other things is remnants of the hivemind. Maybe the Mind Flayer/Vecna passed something on to him unintentionally (like Voldemort with Harry).
My feeling is that part of me doesn't want Will to have to shoulder the burden of having superpowers. We know that these people can't be happy, for one reason or another.
If he has any kind of power, let it end when the great evil is destroyed. Part of me wants him to feel the peace that Frodo felt when the One Ring was destroyed (but without the emptiness that arose over time).
I'd like to see my Will be happy, at peace, and living an ordinary life. With love and tranquility.
That was my delulu for today. Have a nice day, guys.

Misha Collins once said:

(November, 2020)
"Supernatural was like a very kind of macho hetero show so for there to be this romantic declaration of love at the end"
(March, 2022)
"legitimisation of this forbidden love"
(September, 2022)
"Also, Cas is gay."
(July 1, 2023)
"If the CW wasn't so homophobic Dean and Cas would have been balls deep for sure"
(April, 2024)
"Castiel actually says I LOVE YOU and not like I love you like a brother but I love you like a lover"
