im not religious currently, but i have been looking at some forms of paganism, mainly in relation to my angelkin identity

not exactly, but they do feel differnet gender-wise, like my angel identity is feminine while my maned wolf side is masculine, if that makes sense

i do, i have a mask i made years ago thats kinda falling apart lol, may remake it soon

neither? im a morning person, but i dont really connect that to any of my kintypes

i knew i was a dragon when i was around 9 years old, but suppressed it for a long time, only rediscovering it recently

i think they all kind of developed by themselves in response to events and feelings in my life

I have one friend that discovered they were therian around the same time i did. its kinda funny, we both found out we were therian within like a month of each other, but completely seperately. like we never talked to each other about it until after lmao

maned wolves mostly live in south america i believe, the others dont have any set home that i know of

Deltarune has become one of my favorite games of all time (anyone who's seen my posts for the past month in a half "no duh"), and one among many reasons is that the main character, Kris Dreemurr, is clearly therian. To my knowledge, they are probably the only therian character in a piece of fiction that will see mainstream attention for a long time. They have multiple instances where they act like a dog and before they figured that out, they wore a headband with horns for months, wanting to fit in with their family and be like them. They clearly do not like the sight of other humans (which I completely feel there) and while I wouldn't say this is evidence they're therian, the fact that they're likely nonbinary (as Kris goes by they/them pronouns; even if they aren't, there's some gender shenanigans going on there) and they give off neurodivergent vibes from the bits we see and hear about Kris... which considering practically every nonhuman I've met is both genderqueer and neurodivergent, is only fitting.

And the fact that they are therian in a world full of furry, fluffy, scaly, and otherwise non-fleshy monsters, and is in the family of goat monsters is just... ugh. And not only are they human in a world full of monsters and Darkners, but their humanity is important because of their soul's use in the Dark World and so it's constantly being called to attention. I dunno if that'd be worse or better for me if I was in that situation opposed to the one I'm in now (trapped in human body in a human-centric world) but I'd certainly hate it.

The game is very clearly concerned with the lack of autonomy Kris has throughout the game and though it's just a background detail, the fact that Kris is both—probably—nonbinary (and while we don't know what type of body they want, it's likely they don't have it) and therian (and we can pretty reasonably assume they want to be a dog or something else, which they aren't)... That is just ripe with potential.

Kris not only speaks to me fundamentally in terms of my struggles with my species identity, but also to my deep-seated fears of losing control and even more autonomy than I feel has been stolen from me throughout my life. Genuinely, I think I've related to Kris more than any other fictional character in my life, and the fact that the player is very explicitly not them fucks with me so much (in a somewhat-good, intriguing way). And you never even hear this motherfucker speak! As if in defiance to the player for controlling them.

I'm extremely, extremely excited to see how Deltarune's story plays out, and I really really really hope that these aspects of Kris are explored more in the upcoming chapters. Honestly, Deltarune is probably gonna be my second-favorite game until it fully comes out (second to Undertale), and once it does come out, it's likely going to become my favorite game and stay that way forever.

I'm so normal about this game.

part of my therianthropy is that i LOVE being outside. unfortunately its been fairly hot lately, so i have been cooped up inside for months :')

BUT! it was only 94 today, so i got to go hang out outdoors!!!! its genuinely been forever haha.

GOD i hope i can one day live somewhere with nice weather. i have to start applying for college soon, so maybe that will lead to somewhere. i dont know.

Alterhuman Neurodivergence Survey

We've been aware of overlaps between the neurodivergent and alterhuman communities. The purpose of this survey is to get a rough estimate of how big that overlap is (at least in online spaces). The purpose of this survey is NOT to make claims about the relationship between neurodivergence and alterhumanity.

I acknowledge that the scope of this survey may be limited and that because of this the results may not represent the alterhuman community as a whole, but gathering information about alterhumanity can help us to understand it better.
