it all started when my mom

met my other mom

and they became best friends while they were both forced child soldiers for an evil bitch who worshipped another evil bitch in space because they were orphans

and grew up with the same abuser who pitted them against one another at every waking moment, creating a toxic friendship based on internal jealousy and an intense, self harming hero complex

but they managed to stick together for a long time, relying on one another and fighting against every force that wanted to tear their relationship apart because they truly loved one another and only wanted to be free together

but then my mom found a magic sword in the forest and found out that she’s actually from another world chosen by her people to be a hero and save everyone and that the evil bitch she served was actually a bad guy and not a liberator like she had thought so she used the sword to become an 8 foot tall warrior and started fighting for the good guys and made friends with them, and my other mom thought she was leaving her and not the bad place and that their friendship meant nothing to her so she didn’t join the good side because of her deep down abandonment issues

and instead chose to continue fighting for the evil bitch because she wanted to prove herself worthy and told herself the entire time that all she wanted was to be in charge instead of being in someone else’s shadow so they became enemies and fought a lot and my mom didn’t realize how bad she was hurting and how much she just wanted to be accepted and loved for who she was and not because of someone else until it was almost too late

but then it was okay because my other mom and her friends rescued her after she sacrificed herself to save one of my other mom’s friends to protect my other mom so that she could win the war and my other mom still cared about her and never gave up on her and even though my mom was upset and had intense guilt and shame for everything she had done and wanted to be left alone forever, she eventually faced my other mom and her friends and began regaining and gaining their trust and proving that while she was working on getting better, she had changed for good and wanted to be a good person because she finally realized her happiness didn’t involve ruling the world or being on topic, just being free with the people she cared about, and that she couldn’t be happy if the eviler bitch destroyed her home and the people she cared about

and so my moms slowly started rebuilding their old friendship and everyone could tell they were flirting 100% except for them (well one of them knew because she had know she was in love with my other mom for a long time but kept it repressed) and even though their abuser tried to once again tear them apart they managed to come back to one another and look out for each other like they had once promised as children even if it meant watching one of them die in the other’s arms and also my mom realized that she didn’t always have to be a selfless hero and that she was allowed to be selfish and have wants and put her needs above others and because of this they finally confessed their love for one another as my mom was on the brink of death, kissed, and saved the entire universe

and then they stayed in love, and had me some years later (and my siblings). hi. im finn. and my life...is kinda crazy.

I like to think that, in the few moments Adora and Catra shared together after The Kiss, Adora found herself thinking, for the first time, about her own feelings before the fate of the entire world. And Catra, for the first time, was finally okay with seeing Adora leave for the sake of that world. 

(it’s not exactly the best time for Adora to begin her self-love journey, but hey, she deserves it)

So... I’m writing a book.

It’s about the impact of positive thoughts and attitudes during teenage years, as seem through the eyes of a 17-year-old....

Does that sound nice? It’s pretty much an inspirational teenage romance, but I feel like I should somehow share my experiences that helped me being a more positive young-adult
