Honestly, sometimes you need to do manic pixie dream girl shit as a fully 29-year-old man and it's literally okay. I still buy those little perforated Valentines they make for kids to give to each other at school and keep them in my pocket to hand out to cashiers and strangers the first two weeks of February, and it does not matter at all if people think I'm annoying for doing it because I could easily kill myself instead. Take it easy, keep it sleazy.

If you answer this, I shall get another cat.
Don't get another cat because I answer an ask. That way lies, eventually, virtually infinite catitude. Get another cat because you need another cat or, more importantly, because the cat needs you.

In the early 70s Sesame Street was created with an eye towards educating poor, inner-city children for free, and became a massive hit with all children. In 2016, faced with going off the air forever after facing conservative efforts to destroy public broadcasting since basically its beginning, new episodes became a timed exclusive for premium cable network HBO. In 2022 HBO Max, newly merged with and taken over by reality TV channel Discovery, removed Sesame Street episodes and spin-offs from streaming as a tax write-off and scheme to avoid paying residuals.

I've been been seing alot of ppl talk about how Crowley claims they didn't fall they kind of vaguely sauntered down. They're framing jt as a choice & i honestly think vauge saintering or not, it wasn't a conscious choice. They accidently fell because of who they are at their core. Which is entirely too curious for the rigid expectations of Heaven & possibly God.
It's very clear from S2E1 that Crowley asked too many questions & did not get any answers, & I think a lot of people are forgetting how much curiosity & questions actually bother people in power. Crowley quite possibly sauntered giddily on down of their own volition but I'm betting the sheer frustration of not even being acknowledged, let alone answered, is what led to that fall & its the fact they don't regret their reasoning that let's them frame it the way they do look at the minisode with Job were they're so in awe that Job is speaking to God. The sheer jealousy they have regarding him having conversation with God in that same minisode even though it's clear Job understands nothing he heard. In that same minisode we see for a fact that Crowley, despite being Demon, is very much more morally good than the Angels of Heaven because they asked questions & don't just follow the set program they led the way on that caper not Azirapheal.
I very much think Crowley accidentally fell but has zero regrets, so they always frame it as something they did on purpose because they have no regrets & looking back, they know they would do it all again. Every question, every suggestion, every curiosity, so yes, they sauntered, but I don't think it was on purpose.
#good omens season 2#i am in a shambles#crowley#sauntereddownward#or did they?#it was an accident#regrets what are those?#listen you can accidently on purpose do a thing and thats exactly what Crowley did#questions#curiosity#that damn suggestion box#also none of this matters because Metatron is the problem here#can we all agree on that?

Hey Neil! Quick question..
Do you think we'll see custom playlist for Gabriel and/or Beelzebub?
Thank you so much if you answer, bye Neil!
I don't know. They are being made by Amazon Prime Video's marketing department.

Hi Neil, I just finished watch season two, and apart from emotional devestation of the plot (thank you I hate you I love you), I wanted to say how emotional the sheer Pratchett-esqueness of it all made me. Obviously the easter eggs were a pleasure (CMOT Dibbler, six-inch tall angry scottish men, seamstress humour and the countless more I'm sure I'll pick up on on repeat viewing.) But the street traders meeting felt like something straight from the Discworld. Terry had such a keen eye for the beautiful humour in mundane, silly, regular people. Of course the apocalypse might happen. But people have things to say about the Christmas lights. Of course they do. I started reading the discworld books when I was 8, and the supply was so great (our library would order books in if you asked nicely and had it no limit on how many books you could borrow), I quickly became addicted. I read them all, too quickly, looking back. And then one day there weren't any more new books to read. And today, watching Good Omens s2, it was almost as though I got to revisit a new chapter. And I wanted to thank you. Because Terry's spirit is so present in season two its hard to imagine you didn't come up with it together while eating sushi.
Thank you! That put a huge smile on my face.

People were asking me what counts to help get Season 3 made. And the answer is, 1) people watching S2 and watching it to the end, 2) people who haven't watched Good Omens before watching Good Omens, which very much includes Season 1.
So if you know people who haven't seen Season 1, get them to watch it. And if you are at the homes of people with Prime Video who have never seen Good Omens, this is your chance to introduce them to the world of Good Omens while helping make a statistic that the algorithm people are following.

I finished S2 of Good Omens and then came to Tumblr cause I figured @neil-gaiman ask would be full of people as emotionally damaged as myself after the last episode.
I was correct.
Anywhose, so glad to know that closure will come in some form, eventually; I can go back to crying in peace now.
Here's my half-assed spoiler-free review/opinion as I attempt to recover.
The way literally everything came together.
Hair, makeup, costume design, acting, of course, the bloody writing. Literally excellent, everything I didn't even know I wanted. Genuinely the way everything came together was beautiful, and you can feel the love and passion for the show in every scene. Muriel is an Angel. Nina & Maggie are so honest I feel as if I know both of them. I'm a lottle in love with Uriel, not a bit sorry cause the energy, body language, the subtle sass and the look. Honestly never seen an Angel serve cunt so effortlessly. As for Crowley and Azirapheal...quite simply, yes. Not much else to say; it is 100% simply yes.
In other news. Am I emotionally damaged? Yes? So much so that I don't even think fanfiction can fix this. But at least I know I'll eventually get closure.
In the meantime time to add to the stream count and make myself cry in whole new ways now (listen, everything is in a whole new light now that I know how it ends, I'm gonna sob in the places that should be the happiest of places ) and continue to support the Strikes as much as possible from afar. Because this show is everything because of the multitude of talented people who worked on it, and they and all their friends & co-workers deserve everything they're asking for and more. For giving us shows like Good Omens and everything else we consume. But right now, Good Omens cause I am 100% emotionally compromised because of this show, and I can't even begin to deal.
10 outta 10

Just love and admiration from afar.

Please tell me that a season 3 of Good Omens is confirmed. I beg of you Mr. Gaiman.
It won't be confirmed unless enough people watch Season 2 to make Amazon happy. And it's strike season, which makes everything harder.
But obviously Season 3 is all planned and plotted and, if I get to make it, will take the story and the people in it we care about to a satisfying end. If I wasn't on strike I'd be writing it currently. Our set is still standing in a studio in Bathgate and we would all love to get back there and finish the story in the way Terry and I plotted, long ago.
