Sometimes I can't help but laugh at Ian's list of nicknames
Pretty sure you can count on one hand how many aren't from Mickey

What is it with both Lip (renting the house) and Ian (signing the lease) without their significant others?! Literally after Tami and Mickey both said no LOL

To this point, I think that a lot of Ian’s arc for 11a was about learning to make choices with Mickey. He really emphasized that idea of partnership in decision making to Mick, which is why I was frustrated later in the season when he just signed the lease without consulting him. It’s fascinating to point out moments where he contradicts his 11a arc in 11b!
Do I think he’s manic? Not so sure, but I do think this is a very interesting question.
Do you think Ian signing the lease for the apartment impulsively could be a sign for another manic episode? He was also so ready to give his share of his money from the house sale to Lip… just seem like warning signs no one noticed
Hey Anon! It's an interesting point! I've never thought about it before
I think sometimes it's hard to say when impulsivity is a part of his personality and when it has to do with him being bipolar.
I think he is just not used to make decisions with another person. It's something a lot of young people take time to figure out, and even though Ian had to grow up quickly, he's still like 23-24 in season 11. Kind of the same way Mickey decided they were hiring a nurse for Terry with their 'saving for their own place' money...
I'm not an expert on Bipolar disorder so maybe someone who has more knowledge / experience could put their 2 cents in?

I love how Lip getting credit cards for tuition in 5x07 comes back in season ten when Debbie uses their real names for their cards and then his pay gets messed up at Born Free. I love it so much that there are consequences multiple seasons later.

In the beginning of 4x01: “It’s only been a week” is from when Ian TEXTED not when he ran away. He has probably been gone for longer than a week. This also explains why Fiona isn’t so concerned and no one but Debbie is looking for him.
I know the shameless timeline is wack and I am currently putting it al together but that makes way more sense than what we’ve all assumed.
It’s always been a common misconception that I finally understand. Fiona has been working at World Wide Cup for three months.
