I also really think alot of it was worry manifesting as anger like babe is so important to him and he's throwing himself into potentially dangerous situations all alone (a touch hypocritical ik but still) where he can't protect him

Though I don't think Charlie actually thinks Babe is cheating on him. I really don't. He's angry because Babe a) was hiding everything and b) hasn't completely shut it down. (I know he's tried and Willy isn't taking no for an answer but Charlie doesn't know that for sure.)
