arno is strong. almost deceptively so. while he is muscular, his physique is somewhat on the leaner side, thanks to the climbing, but he has quite the strength level as well. which is partially due to training with and handling weapons of varying size, shape, and weight. but all the climbing, running, fighting, and weapons handling leaves him stronger than he may initially appear.

CONFIDANTS WITHIN THE BROTHERHOOD :

three individuals arno grows close to during his time with the brotherhood.

tiago cardoso : originally from spain, born to a spanish mother and portuguese father, tiago came to paris as a young man seeking a new life ; he is deeply religious, considering himself a  ‘ man of god ’  and holding belief in roman catholicism ; he has a penchant for carrying a rosary with him at all times and often recites prayers for those he assassinates  ( and those he fights alongside )  ; his friends often joke that he must have mistaken the brotherhood for a strange order of monks, but he believes in the assassins’ work as much as he believes in his god ; he is a lithe man who uses physical speed to his advantage, but also his quick wit, as he is, surprisingly, an expert strategist  ( something he would never admit aloud ... after all, it is a sin to boast )  .

claude-pierre van der aart : while claude-pierre is from paris, his father was belgian and of dutch origin while his mother came to france from northern africa ; born out of wedlock, he had a hard and complicated childhood, but grew up strong, both of the mind and the body ; despite his large and intimidating figure, claude-pierre holds a soft heart and cares deeply for his brothers-in-arms, perhaps taking the  ‘ brother ’  title to heart ; those close to him can look forward to warm pats on the back and hearty laughter while he attempts to cheer their moods ; in battle, however, he is ferocious and a known brawler, all skills he learned while growing in the streets of paris ; his weapon of choice? a heavy battle axe one would be none too happy to find themselves at the opposite end of.

sébastien dubois : born a farmer’s son in a small town in northern france, sébastien was shocked enough to learn of his father’s history with the assassin brotherhood  ( which was left behind for the quieter life ) ; this revelation only furthered sébastien’s ego and ambition for greatness and so he set off for paris ; he is often noted as being exceptionally handsome  ( and still takes pride in a scar he has through one brow and near his eye )  , and he enjoys finery within his assassin robes, though others consider him ostentatious ; despite his fretting over appearance, sébastien finds no fear in rushing into battle among his fellow assassins when needed, though he is the noted marksman much of the time ; one can often count on sébastien to be poised with a rifle and prepared to fire with an expert eye.

after finding the apple of eden inside the head of saint-denis in the paris catacombs in august of 1794, we know arno got in touch with some within the brotherhood in order to have the apple transported to the mentor in cairo, egypt, in order to keep it safe. the mentor of the cairo assassins, hearing that a disgraced and exiled assassin is who found the piece of eden, contacted the brotherhood of france to inquire. this mentor then wrote to vouch for arno’s reinstatement, as any assassin willing to continue with their mission, even in exile, is worth a second word. this partial testimony was instrumental in arno’s assassin rank finally being restored, just a few months later, around october 1794.
