In Ren's defense, the comment was pretty hypocritical coming from Sophia, someone who started smoking the second she hit puberty. But like most things in her life, Sophia swore she had a handle on it.

Underneath the false concern for Ren's health was a more valid one for her emotional state. As much as Sophia loved the redhead, Ren's intense emotions were becoming more and more frequent, and with them, so were some of Ren's less healthy coping mechanisms. Still, Sophia couldn't be one to judge, her brown eyes following the trail of smoke as it brushed near her legs.

"I get it, Ren, you know I do. But... maybe it's time you finally talk about it. It doesn't have to be with me, but you should be able to scream it out when you want to, even if it's into the sky, just to get the weight off, y'know?"
