Loid "Cannot be separated to his wife without missing her for even just a couple of minutes/hours" Forger
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This man didn't even touched his cake since he's waiting for his wife to come back so they can eat the cake together while Anya is already devouring her piece 😂😂 It's sweet for him to have this habit that he eats when Yor eats as well. What a husband attitude. And did you see how he defended Yor's innocence in this chapter?
Tumblr media
He always gets so defensive when it comes to Yor, since Camilla's party, he defended her in front of her coworkers, in the Eden interview when Swan badmouthed her ability as a mother, he defended her and he was genuinely upset with the way Swan embarrassed his wife, when Nightfall said that Yor's being uncooperative and she should be replaced as his wife, his tone and glare changes into a defensive demeanor. Loid always comes to her defense without missing a beat, and he wasn't calculating those reactions, he did these without the mission on his mind.
This man is already slowly falling in love with her from the very beginning and I think by the time Yor's secret would be revealed to him, not even her real identity as a killer would stop him from being with her for he's already and irrevocably down bad for her

A Fanfic about the parents of Loid and Yor
I've updated the first part of the backstory series in AO3; Roses in a Forbidden Garden.
This the first part of a backstory project series I've made for SPY x FAMILY that centers around the parents of Loid, specifically his mother, and for the most part of this, it centers around Yor's father and mother. In this first part, it's about the relationship of Loid's mom and Yor's dad before their nation divided into Ostania and Westalis. This is one of the three star-crossed lovers stories in this series with the third and last one breaking the tragic pattern.
SUMMARY:
In the peaceful days before Ostania and Westalis became separate nations, Raegan Briar, a rebellious teenager, leads a simple life in the quiet village of Eastern Nielsberg. With no material wealth, his true treasure is his cherished childhood friend, Carla. However, as the nation faces internal strife, their growing feelings may be caught in the crossfire of conflict.

Okay so.... I’m planning to write a fanfiction about Loid’s mom and Yor’s Parents Backstory
I've been planning on writing a fanfic about SPY X FAMILY, that is a prequel sort and it is mainly focused on Loid's mom origins, Yor's family/parents origin and a lot of backstory stuff. I was inspired by the ideas you've shared in the post I've made about Yor being from the Southern part of Ostania and I was intrigued by your thoughts about Loid's mom having Ostanian origins, Yor and Yuri being immigrants from another nation and Loid and Yor having met as children. And it gave me an idea what possible story could Loid and Yor's parents have even before the premise of the canon started.
I’m trying to make each scenario as close to what could be possible in the canon. But most of these are my own headcanons. I've researched some things about East and West Germany history so some of it might play in this story as well.
Most of the chapter will be told on Yor’s dad perspective and the first chapter tackles his history and connection with Loid’s mom.
Choosing their names was such a tiring task of constantly searching the net for baby names with meanings and making sure they're from proper origins but I hope they suit the names I decided to give them 😂
I’ve finished the draft of the first chapter and now I’m working on the second chapter on how Yor’s parents met each other and I was surprised how the plot turned out as I wrote it.
Would you be interested to read this fanfiction?
I'll update the first chapter here and on AO3 as soon as I finished polishing the first chapter😊
You can also give me some ideas and headcanons you have about Loid and Yor's parents and maybe I can include some of them in the fic.

SXF Novelization Fave Parts and some Analysis because I love Analyzing (Overthinking) Mission 1
I finally got my Spy x Family Family Portrait Novel and immediately finished reading it in one day, so without further ado, here are my fave parts, lines, dialogues from the first mission which is centered around Anya and Damian and this chapter just gives me diabetes 😭 (I've been shipping Damianya, yes but all this time it was like an innocent ship and it's not like making me feel butterflies since of course they're just children, but here in the novel, I actually got butterflies in my stomach, they're just so cute and precious here ❤️)
MISSION 1- THE EDEN ACADEMY NATURE CAMPING
-Yor thinking she needs to teach Anya a lot of survival things about camping because she's worried if she can handle the woods (Yor is such a great mom, worrying for Anya's safety always and I think this just shows her experience regarding the wilderness revealing that her hometown might've been near the woods and she did experiencing hunting for food when she was young)
-Loid hoping that the trip could bring Anya and Damian closer (Be careful what you wish you for Loid 😂)
"Wonderful! That's my girl. You can do it, Anya," Loid said.
I just love it when Loid calls Anya his girl, for she will always and forever be his little girl.
-Loid and Yor sort of having a gentle argument on who should get Bond's milk 😂
Loid: I'll get you some milk Bond
Yor: No, let me do that for you.
Loid: No, I can do it, just sit there and relax
Yor: You're the one who should relax
They ended up getting the milk together. These two idiots. 😭❤️
They remind of that, you hang up first, no you hang up first couple exchanges when they're on the phone. These two are so good in this married couple thing without even trying.
And then stabbed me in angst in the next paragraph.
Ever since escaping from the facility, Anya had bounce between orphanages and foster homes. But now she'd finally found someplace worth treasuring, and if she could bring about world peace, then they'd all be able to keep happily living here together.
She clearly doesn't know about Twilight's plan to leave them after achieving his mission. I wonder how she would react to that. I've written a fanfic about it so if you can check it out if you're interested😊. Sorry for the shameless fic plug.
But I hope that after the success of Strix, Loid would stay with them. Could he really leave them? Can he really do that? He can't even let Anya go during the first week they've been together and he has the choice to just ditch her, choose another child and it was the practical and safe thing for a spy for him to do when Edgar knew about his location. But he saved her and took her in despite his reservations about endangering her and all. Now could he let this little girl go after all this time?
-Anya reading Damian's mind and seeing his thoughts about him drowning when he, Emile and Ewen went camping with Mr. Green, made fun of him and even acted out his lines when he thought that he was really drowning in that shallow lake (She loves trolling Damian that she forgot that doing that could give her off as a telepath😂)
"Lovey-dovey couples are nice, but there's something extra special about bickering, will-they-won't-they romances."
I gotta agree with Becky on this one. Bickering makes any romance stories a thousand times more investing and entertaining to read. That's why academic rivals to lovers is an s-tier trope for me.
-Becky partnering Anya with Damian to fetch some water. Becky is also a fan of forced proximity trope, I see.
-Anya's telepathy elicited a sensation on Damian and it said that it wasn't the first time. I really bet that Damian would be the first to know about Anya's mind ability.
-Anya being confused about her left and right hand 😂 (I mean kids her age really do get confused about that, I don't blame her)
-Damian being gentle in his way of speaking whenever he sees Anya distressed or in tears. I'll never get tired of Damian being soft to Anya, he's really a sweet kid.
"Hey, keep it together!" commanded Damian as Anya started to sob again. He grabbed her arm and squeezed it tightly, pulling her close to speak in her ear (because the rain is loud). "I saw a small cave a ways back. Let's head there."
I don't know why but this scene, because of the way it was written, gave me butterflies.
-Anya calling for her Papa to save her when she was so scared. Loid said that Yor was the one that makes Anya feels safe, but she wasn't the only one whom Anya considers to be her safe place. He was also his baby's safe place and she trusts that Papa will always be there to save her.
-My favorite moment: Damian holding her hand and comforting her so she won't be scared, even though he, himself, is terrified too. Ugh, if that wasn't love, I don't what is. And when Anya gripped his hand back to comfort him too, he stopped shaking and Anya thought that his hand was warm. Awww, so preciouss❤️😭
-Anya letting herself to get the blame and willing to be punished but Damian not letting Anya to get the blame for them being lost in the forest. These two are like mini Yor and Loid haha, just young, energetic and extroverted versions of the two 🤣
-Anya being ashamed to face her Papa, because she thought her Operation to get close to Damian failed (since after that incident Damian went back to his mean self again but of course she didn't know Damian's crush on her just get massively deeper after that) but Loid wasn't even worried about that at all, nor did her ask her about Damian when she came home. When he had noticed she was sad, he immediately asked if she didn't have fun at their camping event. And when Anya said that she did, he smiled and said that he was glad that she did, because it's his daughter's happiness that's important to him (Because if she's happy then it would be good for my mission, I can imagine Loid telling this to himself when he just genuinely wanted her to be happy and enjoy her time at school since he never had the chance to do that as a kid)
-Yor and Loid preparing food together for Anya's return. Loid telling Anya that the food was safe to consume when she saw her face that is prepared to face death because he helped Yor to prepare. It was peak father-daughter moment 😂 But he let Yor cooked her specialty dish Southern Stew all by herself since she's the one who can make it the best ❤️
I wonder if Anya told him about her and Damian getting lost in the forest and Damian held her hand to comfort her. I wanna see Loid's reaction to that 😂
So that's it for Mission 1. Up next would be the chapter that got me laughing the most, Mission 2, Yuri babysitting Anya

Why I think the inside cover for SXF Fanbook didn't make it to the English Version
First of all, please note that this is just a crazy speculation. REALLY CRAZY so don't believe it that much, all right? I'm like half-joking😂
It's been always in my mind ever since I've bought the fanbook. I was so disappointed that the comedic inside cover of where Yor was asking why they didn't have any chairs for the cover was nowhere to be found. Then I saw that it was included in the japanese one and there's also an interview was removed but I'm not really bothered with that one. But why do they have to remove that comedic inside cover??!
Then it clicked, oopss Endo might've spoiled us through that inside cover.
Tumblr media
Some of the inside covers are doing fourth wall breaks like with Becky and Franky's inside cover, but this is the first time the Forgers have done it in an inside cover (This fanbook covers vol 1-9 only). They are self-aware in the inside cover of the fanbook.
But not just aware of themselves, but aware of each other's secret as well. Why?
Endo did say in the fanbook that having nothing behind or below the chair means they don't have a secret to keep right? But how about having no chairs at all. Nothing that will keep their eyes from seeing the truth that the other is hiding. This could mean that in the cover and inside cover of the fanbook, the Forgers are already aware of each other's secret, thus the absence of chairs. There's nothing to hide anymore.
And Loid could have known about Anya first because of his statement, "Did you gain another ability?" Meaning, he had already known about her telepathy.
I know, it's just a silly inside cover that doesn't need to be looked into this much, and that might not even be the real reason why it was removed from the English copies. But my guts tells me that this inside cover is not just there, considering the recent updates in the manga about Anya's knowledge on classical language, appearance of Demetrius, addition of the Authens, the truth behind Anya's name, I think this show a possibility that Endo might open the pandora's box about Anya's secret any time soon and I don't know how I can deal with that.

Yes that panel! I was so scared that Demetrius felt that his mind is being read by someone but it looks like his mind is just empty.
I just finished reading the novel just now and I was very intrigued by that line. Damian can feel Anya's telepathy in some way. Considering the author was supervised by Endo, I'll say I consider it as supporting the canon and I always have this theory that Damian might be the first to know about Anya's ability.
And I don't know, but I also feel this sort of connection between the Desmonds and Anya's origin. She did mention in the griffin episode that the Chimera and the Griffin were relatives or related to each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The griffin has the body of a lion while the chimera has a head of a lion. I guess that makes them related aside from both being mythical creatures. (This could mean wherever Anya came from, that's the mind (the head) or the origin of the experiments where Ostania just followed the same example or supported it(the body)) Anya also mentioned that Chimera is the head of the secret organization in Episode 3 and it's been making me wonder ever since.
Tumblr media
Griffin is in the symbol of the Desmonds crest while my take with the Chimera is that it may be some sort of symbol of the organization or the country where Anya came from. This goes back with my alliance theory between Ostania and another country that they're helping each other try human experimentations. And since Griffin and Chimera are both mythical creatures who are a mixture of different animals, altered animal versions, this may suggest that the Desmond family, especially Donovan have undergone experimentations like Anya.
And I think Donovan was experimented to acquire the ability to Manipulate Minds but not as a child. I bet he already had Demetrius back then and his eldest became his lab rat to test his newly given mind ability. So I think, if my other theory about abilities being passed onto a child through genetics, then Donovan may have passed some to Damian and maybe it was not mind manipulation but rather the ability to detect mind reading. That could explain the novel, why Damian can feel Anya's telepathy. But of course just speculation.
Now, I'm starting to get really scared what will happen if Donovan happens to meet Anya. But I so wanted it to happen at the same time😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I saw these two panels the first time, I nearly got heart attack. Because I seriously thought that Demitrius can sense if someone (Anya) is trying to read his mind.
I've seen several theories roaming around, and it looks like several fans also has the same idea.
Especially since I've just read the sxf Light Novel: Family Portrait
Tumblr media
Idk how far can we include info from other sxf media (such as anime original or this novel) as canon, but this information really intrigued me.
We've seen several people starts questioning whether Anya can read minds. But Anya always managed to steer the thoughts away (she's so smart!)
But these people aren't Loid who always suspects anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But if Anya's power does make her target feel anything, this could be dangerous.
And if it does true that Donovan developed a counter technique, in form of his way of thinking that being taught to Demitrius, then people in sxf world believe that it is possible to read minds.
Also, it means Ostania has tried to create people who can read minds, which means Anya's secret organization could be Ostanian origin.
Or. Ostania has heard about such research which means other country has tried to do such research. Westalis? Or another third country?
Just my 2cents.

The Forger Fam Exhausted after saving the world once again (Sorry about the messy linework, I was too lazy to draw 😂😅)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His girls are both tired, awww 😭❤️💕💕
I haven't watched the movie CODE WHITE but based on the trailers they seemed to have worked very hard at that one scene where they are trying to steer the wheel. Of course, they'll be exhausted after that right? I don't care if this doesn't ever happen in the movie, it'll be canon in my heart.

My Analysis and Theories about Demetrius, Melinda, Donovan and Imperial Scholars
I hope you like reading because this is going to be a long one, I'm sorry. But I'm hoping to hear your ideas about these.
The Desmonds, aside Damian, are definitely weird, but I think there’s a high chance that Demetrius, alongside Melinda, was brainwashed and their minds are manipulated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demetrius seems to have empty thoughts aside from his constant belief that he doesn’t understand anyone, not even his brother and his father, despite spending a lot of time with him, as Damian stated. I think these thoughts have been instilled in him through brainwashing and mind manipulation.
Tumblr media
That's likely the reason why Donovan spent a lot of time watching Demetrius when he was a child, forcing these ideas upon him since childhood.
This is the same idea he shared with Loid when they first met, that humans will never truly be sympathetic to each other because, at the end of the day, we are strangers, even to those who are our blood and flesh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Melinda is the same too. Based on what we’ve seen of her so far, she seems to have conflicted feelings about Damian.
Tumblr media
However, I think she was genuinely concerned for her son, but her husband is trying to instill those dreadful ideas onto her. (It might not be Donovan who was doing the mind manipulation, but based on the stitches on his head, there’s a possibility that he had been experimented on and had gained a mind ability somehow.)
I think that’s why she’s scared of Donovan knowing that she came for Damian at that school bus incident. Donovan doesn’t want her to care for anyone, not even their own sons (These poor kids).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I believe she truly wants to be a good mother, and she wants Damian to break the cycle going on in their family. (If she didn’t care, she wouldn’t race through Eden just to check on Damian’s safety at the bus arc.) And I think that’s the reason why she wanted Damian and Anya to be close, for Damian to have someone that would make him break out of the expectations he had set for himself and be finally free to be a child since it’s what her son deserved. (But still, this theory of mine still doesn’t make her not suspicious to me; right now, all I’m giving these newly introduced characters is the benefit of the doubt)
Why does Donovan want to instill these ideas that humans can’t truly understand each other, not even those who are family? Because that’s the reason wars happen—people not trying to understand one another. It occurs when they don’t strive to meet in the middle. Assuming he does indeed plan to wage war against Westalis, then instilling that idea would benefit him.
Of course, it’s hard to instill the same idea in every citizen in Ostania, especially when the current government is trying to establish a diplomatic relationship with Westalis. So, how could he encourage these ideas? Where are ideas usually taught? What establishment is so respected that these ideas would be very much welcomed and widely taught in a subtle manner, making individuals unaware that they are being influenced? Oh, right—educational establishments, schools, and universities. And which is the most prestigious school in Ostania that could assist in achieving this and influence the children of Ostania to acquire nationalistic ideas so that, in the future, they would carry these ideas for the sake of Ostania? Eden Academy.
This is where the hidden agenda of the Imperial Scholars, I think, plays out. Kids like Demetrius, I believe, are being brainwashed to adopt the same thoughts and ideas as Donovan. Children are the most vulnerable to manipulation, absorbing ideas like a sponge. That's my guess about what’s going on with these Imperial Scholars in Eden.
Why do you think they choose the cream of the crop among these students? The geniuses—won’t they be useful in terms of war? The other talented and athletic students could boost Ostania’s economy, and when they become famous celebrities, they could be influencers, shaping public opinion in line with the ideas they hold. The heroic and helpful ones could also be valuable in times of war, willingly risking their lives for Ostania.
When I was a Humanities student in my senior year of high school, I remembered studying a case in my country where athletes and geniuses were brainwashed by rebel groups into supporting their ideals regarding the government. In the end, these students did join those rebel groups, believing they were doing the right thing. They left their families, not even caring about their feelings, because they firmly believed that what they were doing needed to be done. They were first introduced into these societies or clubs, usually inviting geniuses and, take note, scholars. As they associated more with these clubs or organizations, they became more and more exposed and influenced. I can’t help but think that this could also be true in Eden Academy. I think this could be confirmed or debunked once we meet more Imperial Scholars or former Imperial Scholars and have their minds read by Anya. So for now, this is purely my speculation. But I'd like to know your ideas about it.
Operation Strix, I'd say, challenges Desmond’s ideas about people not understanding one another. Remember, Twilight’s goal was not to assassinate him; it was for him to determine if Desmond was engaged in any suspicious activities that might lead to war between East and West and to prevent it from happening. I think, in a way, Operation Strix could really achieve that because at its very core, it disproves Donovan’s ideas about people. These three individuals bound by Operation Strix, who barely knew each other and hadn't even spent a year together, have a lot of secrets and differences in terms of nationality, behavior, upbringing, and ideals. Yet, they managed to live peacefully as a family. They may not understand each other completely, but that doesn’t stop them from trying.
Tumblr media
Twilight, despite Anya being a stranger to him, strives to always humor her no matter how weird her statements are. Even though he couldn’t fully understand her, he wanted to and he always tries to, because he’s not just a spy; he’s a parent, her father. That’s what parents and families do—they always try to understand one another. This connects back to the inside cover theory I talked about before, regarding the Forger family understanding one another.
It was fascinating to see how the Desmonds and the Forgers are alike in terms of being not a normal family but very different, especially in how they treat each other. I would love it if Donovan, as a character, symbolizes the idea of war, while Twilight and the family he built for his mission are a symbol of peace, proving it to be possible despite all differences.
What do you think about this?

SXF Chapter 93 Analysis-Loid on Anya's Past
Okay, I wanted to talk about this scene in this post first.
Tumblr media
I love how Twilight doesn't ask Anya this question in his Twilight mode. It didn't feel like he was interrogating her. He was just genuinely curious about the origins of his adoptive daughter and this just shows that this curiosity about her past was always within his thoughts.
Tumblr media
And judging Anya's reaction upon his sudden question, she didn't look like scared and panicky to me. She's just like genuinely surprised, like oh, is it weird that I'm good at it? Her expression kinda reminds me of her reaction at Loid correcting her name on Chapter 90.5
Tumblr media
The same deadpan stare.
My guess is that her name and classical language were both things that were part of her identity before she can even remember it. And it being questioned makes her a little curious and confuse about herself as well.
I think classical language was a natural for thing for Anya, it could be from the place she grew up in and I don't think it was a product of the experiments on her (if it was, she would be conscious about being too good about it for she always tries to hide anything that might reveal her being a telepath). So I think her knowledge of classical language would not connect her relation to the experiments but rather to her origins which she may not have a memory of.
Tumblr media
I think that Anya might be telling the truth on this part. She was so little back then (1-3 years old, I suppose), I'm sure all she can remember was being experimented on and not anything about her early stages in her life where she was not in the custody of the scientists but rather with her real family. (But at least she has some memories of her biological mother, based on her reaction on the Eden interview, she might have been with Anya for a quite some time)
I believe that this could serve as a turning point for Twilight to delve deeper into Anya's background. But as I already discussed from this post, he has this hesitance when it comes to digging deep about his fake daughter, for he could stumble upon a truth that he might not be capable of accepting. A truth that might take her away from him.
Tumblr media
Following their conversation that night, Anya appeared unconcerned about Loid's inquiries regarding her knowledge of the classical language. He likely dismissed that curiosity from his mind. If he was planning to research about Anya, Anya would definitely know and of course she would panic and worry about him finding about her abilities.
But it revealed to us one thing, Loid is indeed concerned about Anya's history, he didn’t completely pushed the thought in his mind, meaning it was indeed something that he considered to be crucial, but he is choosing to not make it his priority to know, I guess he still in the mindset that there’s no use in prying too much or rather it wouldn’t be good for him, his mission and their family if he did.
Okay, enough of the serious stuff, now let me appreciate the father-daughter moments they have in this chapter
Tumblr media
Aww he looks so proud of his little girl, they both come a long way!
Tumblr media
Just look at her precious smile!❤️❤️😭 The father-daughter interaction I crave! I hope there's more of this, please, Endo-sensei
Tumblr media
And this exchange between them, Twilight/Loid is becoming more of a real father to Anya, I just love to see him so concerned about his baby. I wonder if he was putting the blanket back on her every time he saw she had kicked it off so she won't cold when she wakes up. That was canon for me.
So I'll be talking about the other half of Chapter 93 on another post which focuses on my thoughts about Demetrius and the Desmonds.

I was thinking the exact the same thing @tare-anime. They might be from different experiments but I think they were connected in some way.
My guess is that Bond is from an experiment conducted inside Ostania by Ostania, while Anya came from an experiment from another country thus could explain why she's good at classical language and has different physical appearance (her hair color) from other Ostanian kids. (I really think that Anya is not fully Ostanian as well as Yor but let's think about her at another time).
Ania/Anya name, according to my research, stemmed from Eastern European origins, most likely Russian, and that country is connected to the Soviet which did perform human experimentations around 1940s-1960s (Very fitting with the SXF time period).
My theory is that this country where Anya came from is Ostania's ally (That's common in war right? They sure to have some sort of alliance with other nations and Russia or The Soviet is an ally of East Germany which Ostania resembles to) and this country introduced these types of experimentations to Ostania and they started on experimenting on animals first to strengthen their military force but as Handler said, it failed (But I don't know if the information they got was reliable since we know Bond successfully gained an ability. Just maybe not the ability they wanted him to have or something like that.) Having these experiments connected in some way could explain the appearance of the same scientist with glasses in Anya and Bond's flashback as experiment subjects.
Then Ostania tried testing human experimentations, Donovan could be a subject of this and I can bet that this experimentation is still ongoing on Ostania and I think it's on Eden Academy (That's school is really shady if you ask me). This is just pure speculation though.
I went back to the first chapter at the official English translation and this is the part that really intrigued me about Anya. It said there that Anya was made by accident and in the Netflix english sub it was translated, she was born unintentionally. It's like she weren't meant to be a test subject in the first place. My guess is that her parents or her mom specifically is the test subject but she was experimented on when she was carrying Anya thus unintentionally giving her the ability. She might have been with her for a little while for her to react like that during the Eden Interview, I think that scene implies that Anya did have a mother, her real mother, at the early point of her life.
All this time I always had questions regarding whether Anya and Bond came from the same experiment or not.
Apparently, the Introduction page (which I never bother to read) told us about the fact that they came from two different experiments.
Tumblr media
Anya was experimented by a mysterious organization.
As stated in the first chapter
Tumblr media
It was never stated "which" affiliated organization. It was also never stated from which country, nor it was government's or official or shadow.
Hmmm....
WISE, westalian side aren't innocent.
Garden is still sus.
And whoever shadow Govt that exist in the sxf universe is most definitely sus.
Moreover the crumbs that imply Anya might has a non Ostanian non Westalian origin. A third country? An extinc monarchy?
Hmmm.....
Meanwhile, Bond was experimented by "military organization."
As also stated in chapter 19.
Which is know as Project Apple.
Tumblr media
It does heavily implied that the Ostanian military was the one responsible for project Apple.
Tldr; I guess Anya and Bond didn't came from the same experiments.
Which add the darker tone of sxf where there were lots of shaddy experiments has been going in the background.

Forger Fam and WISE Budget😅
Sylvia’s current concern according to Endo: Balancing WISE Budget
Tumblr media
I mean how couldn’t she be concerned when maintaining Strix is so financially consuming.
I mean look at all the expenses the Forger family has made in less than a year:
1.Anya’s tuition that costs about $35,000 to $40,000, and that doesn’t include the uniform and school supplies.
Tumblr media
2.Anya’s clothes and she seemed to have new clothes regularly and Endo said these are mostly bought by Loid/Twilight.
Tumblr media
3.That castle rent that costs more than $77 000 and added the other check, I'm guessing for the furniture they used, that costs $17 600. (Yes, it costs more than Anya's tuition fee, I mean it's a castle 😂)
Tumblr media
4.Loid could also not just be purchasing clothes for Anya. It looks like he also pays for Yor’s wardrobe and Yor mentioned that he got so many clothes for her in the boutique before the Eden Interview.
Tumblr media
5.Loid is also the one who pays for their dates, seems like, and his dates with Yor doesn’t seem cheap at all, they seem to dine at fancy restaurants that require reservation.
Tumblr media
6.The big heap of cash he pays Franky every time he babysits Anya and Bond.
Tumblr media
And here it looks like the check his giving Franky costs 20,000 dalcs that is equivalent to $44,000 (one dalc is quivalent to $2.20). It's even more expensive than Anya's tuition, what?! 😂😂 (Twilight is literally willing to spend a lot money just to be sure that Anya won't be home alone ever again, he's not taking a chance on her being kidnapped again when he left her alone on ep1)
7.Loid didn’t seem to also hold back in spending a good amount of money for their apartments furniture and for Anya’s bedroom and even bought her a lot of toys and picture books.
Tumblr media
8.And of course their out of town/out of the country family trips featured in the Code White movie. Those must’ve cost a lot considering they have to book a hotel and all. And according to a movie spoiler from tiktok, that wasn’t the last time they went on a family out of town trip.
Tumblr media
Loid Forger does have a high paying profession. However, according to Endo, his earnings as a psychiatrist were only about $140,000 per year, not per month, PER YEAR. How could he cover that much expenses? Of course WISE covers the rest if it was crucial to the mission, or when Twilight insists it to be. I mean he always says that everything he does is for his mission so the one who has to pay was the one who gave him that mission.
(Most of these expenses didn't even contribute to the progress of Operation Strix. It just funds Twilight into sinking deeper into his fake fam and keeps the family even more attached to each other😂)
Tumblr media
Endo said WISE is not really generous when it comes to paying their agents but they seem to be lenient on spending their money on the Forgers. I mean they have to invest for their Top Spy's family and World Peace do depend on them.
So Twilight, pile the bills and let Sylvia handle the rest😂

Yor's Hometown and Westalis
Yor mentioned that she's from a place in Ostania called Eastern Nielsberg.
Obviously, I thought it was on the Eastern part of Ostania as well. But then we get this statement from her from the recent update, Chapter 92.
Tumblr media
She's from the South part of Ostania-A Southern folk.
Tumblr media
And how did I dare forgot, the dish that she can make without messing up was even named Southern Stew.
Why is this important? Because Mr. Green said this specific information on Chapter 39 about Southern Folks from Ostania.
Tumblr media
Southern Folks have a code for defecting to the West which might indicate that they're the ones who usually do this.
Then I remembered this Twiyor moment from Chapter 35
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yor knows a lullaby from Loid's childhood that was always sung to him by his mother. How could Yor know that same exact lullaby?
I don't think I remember Yor mentioning Westalis neither in speech or thought (correct me if I'm wrong pls). Though that doesn't mean that she wasn't aware of the existence of it. But I don't think she, herself, would try or have tried defecting to Westalis. And she's too young and too focused on taking care of her brother to even consider this.
But how about her family? Her parents? Their relatives? Why did Yuri and her are left alone when their parents died? What happened to their grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles? Where were they and why didn't they took them in? Did they perhaps defect to the West and Yor's family remained on Ostania? We can't be sure since we only know a little about Yor's backstory and her entire family background.
Tumblr media
But even in Loid's backstory, when he was talking to the croquette lady, she mentioned that she was part Ostanian herself and she has a family in the East even though she's residing in West. Meaning, there could also be people from Ostania that has Westalian relatives. Yor's family could have Westalian background or someone in their family tree is and who knows, her family may have actually some sort of connection with Loid's family in Luwen.
I actually don't know where I was going with this or if this even make sense or plot relevant but I can't help but be intrigued by this.

"It's for the Mission"-What does it really mean for Twilight?
"It's for the mission" has become Twilight's mantra, a justification for his actions by emphasizing that his mission is the sole motivation behind everything he does. However, there's more to it than meets the eye. The question arises: Why does he desire the progression of his mission, Operation Strix, even at a minimal level?
The answer lies in contemplating the consequences if Operation Strix were to falter. In such a scenario, WISE, the organization Twilight serves, would likely devise an alternative, more efficient method to establish contact with Desmond, rendering Operation Strix obsolete. This is the outcome Twilight initially sought in episode 1 when he rescued Anya from Edgar – a resolution devoid of endangering children or civilians. Yet here he is, tirelessly striving to sustain the mission, trying to eliminate anything that might jeopardize it.
"It's for the mission" is not merely about the operation itself; it symbolizes Operation Strix-the very thread that binds his makeshift family together. The absence of Operation Strix would mean the absence of Anya, Yor, Bond, and the Forgers. While Twilight acknowledges the temporary nature of his stay and the inevitable end of the mission, he yearns for a bit more time with his newfound family.
He craves the opportunity to continue playing the roles of Anya's Papa and Yor's husband, experiences that a spy like him would seldom have. By saying, "It's for the mission," he essentially means, "It's for my family."
His family, in his view, is synonymous with his mission. Therefore, he strives to ensure the mission's continuity, not just for the sake of duty but to extend his time with those he has grown to love. It's more than just a mantra or justification, it's almost like a plea for a little more time – a chance to be Loid Forger and relish a life that a spy like him wouldn't typically have.
So therefore every time he utters "It's for the mission" it might actually translate to this:
It’s for my family, so I could stay with them and we could be together for a little while longer.

Twilight's Habit of Observing Yor and Anya
I just noticed how often Twilight observes these two interacting with each other, the anime is inclined of highlighting this since most of these are not in the manga and I love them for that.

Look at how fond his face is when he's looking at Yor and Anya's genuine affection for each other. I think he can saw glimpses of him and his mom through them.
Yor and Anya share a true mother-daughter bond, even though they don't share the same blood. In his world as a spy, where deception and pretenses rule, Yor and Anya's genuine bond is a breath of fresh air for him. It was something that is very much real and it's something that is under his care regardless he is Twilight, Loid Forger or his true self. He was the one who united their family and I think it makes him wonder how an epitome of deception like himself can build something as authentic and genuine as this.
That face he makes, the longing warm stare directed at them. I can't explain it but his eyes are really different when he's looking at them. It's soft. Yep, this man is already into deep.
Also, it makes me wonder, judging at how often he observes these two, how could he not tell something was definitely weird about them? At this rate he must've been constantly and intentionally ignoring those😂
More Yor and Anya interacting with each other in Loid's view:

They were always so bright in his view. I think he associates the both of them as his source of light. That's just so sweet and wholesome😭❤️
