Puff #2: As Puff continued to grow I left the Zig-Zag man behind and moved on to Holidays and pop culture for my inspiration.

Puff #1: The first fliers for PUFF all featured an appropriation of the Zig-Zag man as we wanted to make sure people knew it was a cannabis event. It was fun to queerify this counterculture icon.

Not evry good idea makes it and although Drag Bag didn’t last I loved designing the logo and poster. (I also recorded an original theme song for this 70s game show homage.)

The spin-off from ToolBox was Show/Off ably hosted by Pristine Condition. It changed venues moving from Club 93 to The Box Factory to Truck and finally The Red Devil Lounge and my abilities as a designer were broadening.

Toolbox was a weekly queer variety show inn the Klubstitute tradition and where I really started to develop as a graphic designer. I had complete creative autonomy and a wonderful muse in Toolbox host and drag muppet Alexis Von Fierce. Good Times!

Working with Marga Gomez has been one of the great pleasures of my design career. She always knows exactly what works for her brand but still gives me tons of creative freedom. Note that the 3 dollar bill, the Wizard Of Oz inspired tour poster and the Comedy Bodega poster were done by me purely as pieces of fan art for this inspirational artist.

Bloke was a monthly event which focused on British Music often bein a tribute to an iconic band or specific subgenre of UK music. I created a logo for the club based on the Never Mind The Bullocks album cover and I am particularly proud of the poster which used band names typed onto slips of paper and then collaged to create the steam arising from a very British cup of tea.

Although “Let’s Have A Kiki” didn’t last very long in clubland I enjoyed making these colorful posters. I have also included a Beach Party concept collage which was never used.
