UPDATE!

{So some ‘big’ news in regards to this blog and my multi (nessblessed). I put a lot of thought into this and talked with a few friends over what to do. My muse for FE overall has been very low due to finding interest in other things and I did at times consider just deleting.

But in the end I decided against that and decided to try and do a fresh start and remake. I don’t know how much motivation that will give me but I think at least one of the reason I don’t want to be here as much is due to how very, very cluttered and broken my blogs are due to not being here very often. 

So over the next day or so I’ll be remaking both this blog and my multi. All threads/supports/etc will continue over to the remade blogs and I’ll be alerting everyone wants to new blogs are made. Thank you guys for being patient.}

Dastard:

“I wouldn’t be surprised if your dear brother becomes one of us pretty soon anyway, Leo. I told you how easy it was to get Odin on board with my plan, and there’s only a matter of time before things…spread~” Niles stepped away from Leo, walking a slow circle around the prince.

“You’ll get used to this soon enough. You’ll even thank me for it. You just have to stop fighting so hard, my liege… This would all be so much easier if you would just give in to your instincts. Deep down, you know what you want to do.”

Leo didn’t need to be reminded of that fact. The fact that his siblings might not be safe because their own retainers could have become monsters. He didn’t want to just start throwing around baseless accusations, nor alert his siblings to his own...transformation. But he didn’t want their safety put at risk either. Nor have them be cursed as he was.

“Deep down?” He questioned with a mocking chuckle “And what exactly is it that you think I wanted, Niles? To be this...thing that feeds off of people? I told you I wanted to make the kingdom into something better than what my father turned it into. I didn’t say I wanted to do so by ruling it forever.”

Daedra:

Daedra couldn’t help but wince at his statement. She agreed with him fully, not wishing to cause any kind of up stir with their current situation. War was bad enough, living on the road and constantly traveling was draining, and somehow she knew the start of a family would easily be the thing to make them crumple. 

She wanted children very much, especially after meeting Morgan and Foleo, and of course she wanted them with Gavroche. However… she also wanted a home to go to, a job that provided them with money. She’d like a garden and pets and days she could take off and not feel like she was letting down a nation of people. Daedra was perfectly fine to put those things off… provided she was allowed to have them later, and keep them.

Yet, even more chilling than that in her mind, was as Gavroche said. She dare not even imagine what Frederick the Wary would say should something amiss happen. One thing she knew indefinitely… the tactician would have to step down and be sent away if she were found in such a state. Somewhere safe and out of harm’s way.

The shame and guilt would probably be enough to end her. 

“That’s probably for the best,” she said, fidgeting with her fingers. “It’s hard enough to keep focus as is with all the fighting and moving. A bit unfun… but better.”

“Besides, it’s like they say… if we’re patient, we’ll be rewarded.”

“I’m glad you agree.”

Not that he thought she’d argue. Despite what he’d thought of her in the past, Daedra WAS smart. She knew what risks to take and what to abstain from. She wouldn’t be the tactician of an entire army if she didn’t. And despite how much she clearly wanted a family and home life...she knew it was best to hold off on those things till the war was wrapped up.

And Gavroche felt the same. Though starting a family was still a rather...foreign concept to him. Seeing as long ago he’d sworn off the idea of ever marrying or having children. Too fearful of becoming like his father. But clearly some where along the way Daedra had changed his mind. Their future children wouldn’t be there with them otherwise.

“And if the reports are anything to go by, we won’t have to be patient for long.” The sorcerer smiled as he took Daedra’s hand in his own.

“But in the mean time we can have a few more moments like these. I’m sure Sir Frederick couldn’t get anymore upset if we spend just a few more minutes to finish this meal.”

Dastard:

Niles slipped away without another word, trying so hard not to focus on how tempted he was to smile at Leo’s comment. He felt…conflicted. It shouldn’t be this easy to laugh with someone who he’d taken prisoner. He shouldn’t be tempted to joke back, respond with something other than another empty threat.

Almost an hour later, he returned to Leo’s place of shelter, rather pale and clutching his shoulder. “Godsdamned guards saw me,” he said through gritted teeth. “Grazed my shoulder with a knife. It’s not too bad, but- ugh.” Niles sat down, lifting his bloodstained hand away from the wound and digging in his pocket. “Here- I got you the medicine. Drink this.” He pressed a small bottle into Leo’s hand. His shoulder hurt, but somehow he found himself more concerned for Leo’s health than for his own.

He felt as if his fever were getting worse, and no doubt it was, but he didn’t think it would be that fast. He’d suffered from infected injuries before. Granted they’d never been AS serious nor had he waited for long to seek medical attention. Just another draw back of being a prisoner. Leo wouldn’t keep his eyes closed for long in fear that falling asleep would result in not waking up again. Though he only fully snapped out of his tired state when he heard the rustling of someone returning.

“Ah, so you get to suffer through an infection next? Good. We can share in our misery.” It was clear he was merely joking. If only a little. Not really caring much for Niles injury as he instead eyed the medicine “He clearly got you good. They say the shoulder is one of the worst parts to be stabbed.”

Vivian:

     In all honesty, Leo had another thing coming, if he thought she would give up… not because of her sheer resilience alone, but the fact Vivian proved more stubborn than a mule.

    Even with her back hunching over, arms drooping forward, and the bags lingering against her knees, she never stops dragging her feet one step after another, despite how tired she feels. Soon, Vivian’s face blanches and she’ll force her chin  UPWARDS,  accompanied by a look of distress.

      “ I-It’s not funny, Leelee! Quit laughing, ” she whines. Little by little, Vivian straightens her back and renews her grip around the hefty bags while attempting to ignore the strain along her arms. “ Uuuu… bring it on! Let me carry all the bags, ” she huffs, only to quicken her pace. On a rather fortunate note, her limbs were growing number, so it made the pain much easier to deal with as time drove on.

   Sure enough, they reached a park nearby her parents’ home and upon capturing a glimpse of a stone table, Vivian wastes no time in  HASTENING  towards it before carefully setting the bags over the firm surface. 

    Almost immediately, feeling returns back to her arms and she winces, massaging the sore areas. Mere moments later, Vivian then lowers her fingers and puffs out her chest in pride. ” S-See? That I made it this far proves I’m manly! ”

Vivian’s whining made way for a few people to stare in their direction. Most of them shooting Leo dirty looks. No doubt they all thought he was making Vivian carry all of the bags - when such a thing couldn’t be farther from the truth. He would shoot those staring folks a glare and they would turn away. But eventually the looks grew to be more than enough. And honestly, as funny as it was to watch Vivian, in the end it would only hurt her. Or at the least make her incredibly sore come the morning.

“Give me-”

Before Leo could reach out and take a few of the bags, Vivian was sprinting forward. Their books being slammed down onto a table in quite a haste. The action alone was enough to make Leo chuckle slightly. Following Vivian over and giving her his usual smug smile. Best not to tease her anymore, lest she still wish to be stubborn and carry everything herself.

“Yes, of course. How could I not see it?” He asked with a shake of his head “Now why don’t I help you carry the bags the rest of the way back?”
