11. Which punctuation marks are you convinced are in love with each other? And are there some that are just boning on the dl?

MAybe?? what i'd call "rythm punctuation" in my head when i'm writing ( - or , or .) At least in this situation they're a very exclusive club which despises longer punctuations slowing down the rythm (; or ...). The more I'm thinking about this the crazier I'm gonna sound, BUT they're the ones that make the flow of writing as I work on it (yes. i have favorites. what about it)

17. Do you still feel slightly robbed that a 'thesaurus' is not in fact a dinosaur?

I don't ! The word always seemed like something found in a dusty old dark library. Maybe a forbidden treasure of knowledge.

Then again, i was never very big on dinosaurs so that could explain it

33. Provide a defence of mixed metaphors NOW

Okay first of all, easy : humor. It's a really easy way to diffuse tension and/or add some fun in the dialogues. Secondly, mixed metaphors do confuse the reader for a second which gives us two things : they stop in their reading (if only for a moment) so this is a nice way to add rythm, and secondly, it's a great way to either say something about a character.

A mixed metaphor used in a character's PoV or in dialogue tells us a lot about their mental state (either humorous, confused, panicked, or just a little dumb) and it's a fun way to show it without too much exposition ! As all things I think it's just an affair of how you use them.

Y’all… okay. So like I’m fully aware that this is only cute to me, but looooook at my 10 year old’s drawing for my fic cover. I had to come up with a title real quick, so this is what we have for my role reversal Brio fic that’s been in drafts since July. Look at the little Brio park bench in the corner there. He has no frame of reference for the source material nor my writing. He just made me a “big city skyline.” The bench is just a coincidence. (Those blobs are flying cars, apparently. It’s fine. It still works. So a few cars can fly. So what. It’s an AU.)

I have 9 chapters mostly done. And the more I write, the more there is to write. The plot never ends. There’s just so much to say and idk how to temper it and idk how to get it to all the places I want it to go. Maybe will post the first bit on Friday. Get a no-going-back moment going to increase motivation.
