"The co-creation of an image between human and machine reframes the narrative assigned to artificial intelligence -- that AI is somehow uncoupled from human bias and input. It sets the stage for a broader cultural understanding of the field and posits a different set of research goals. Conceptually, collaboration extends the interaction of human and machine to that of a creative partnership (however aspirationally), in which both agents are implicated. It invites the subjective assessment of an audience as well as encourages research goals defined by aesthetics, interaction, and craft.
