Note
I just needed to share my experience today with someone who understands.. I had someone ask me to go thru over 100 puppy photos and choose the ones I felt would be best for editing. In the end it would be about 30 pics for me to edit and touch up. She actually got offended by me offering $25 an hour for the big job rather than my norm of like $10-$15 per photo and im just sitting here like 😤😤😤 why ask if you don't wanna pay for it??? I feel like I gave an insane discount and she was still shocked and rude about my cost 😒
that’s so wack, sorry that happened! definitely not your target client, ugh. some folks can’t see value in artistic work and that’s on them, not you!
edit: anon if you’re comfortable messaging me off anon with your editing portfolio i’d love to add a photo retoucher to my referral list - i’m toying with the idea of retiring my personal editing services and would love to send inquirers your way

Sorry-not-sorry to be All Commerce All The Time, but I found some extra prints from my last batch that I’ve listed in my Etsy shop. You could have your very own Belgian Malinois Propaganda! Just what you’ve always dreamed of! The beauty of malinois in your home without the bite marks and bleeding!

Thank you SO much, everyone, for your kind words, commissions, and helping me spread the word! I have one slot currently open for a photo retouch returned to you tomorrow; please shoot me an email if you’d like to snag it!
Photo Retouching is back!
I’m pleased to announce that as of February 3, 2020 Soul Dog Studios is now OPEN for Photo Retouching commissions! Woohoo! Pour the champagne! Or something!

For 3 years, I have been professionally improving photos from pet owners and photographers all over the world by applying distinctive stylized retouching techniques that allow the photo’s full potential to be realized. From iPhone snapshots to DSLR raw files, changing photos from “average” to “artwork” is my passion and specialty.

The cost is $21 USD for a single photo and $18 USD each for multiple photos ordered at the same time. All file formats are accepted! Not sure if your photo’s workable? Want me to help you pick one? Contact me ([email protected]) for a free consultation and I’ll let you know what’s possible before you decide to put money down.
Please note: In order to help manage my workload, commissions are accepted 5 at a time at which point they will be closed temporarily; once those 5 are in the hands of their happy owners, commission slots will be opened again! This means that, if my 5 slots have already been filled when you inquire, you will be wait-listed and given an estimate of when I’ll be available for your order. I ask for 3 full business days to complete a photo retouch and return it to you, but am often done before then.
Thank you so much for your support! Please inquire to:
Don’t need a retouch, but want to support my work? Feel free to buy me a chai on Ko-Fi - full disclosure, though, I do tend to spend chai money on dog treats instead ;D

I and Love and You + Soul Dog Studios for #NationalPetDay
Today, April 11, marks National Pet Day, a day dedicated to celebrating our pets and all the love and joy they bring into our lives. For this year's #NationalPetDay, I was fortunate enough to have been involved in a very special project arranged by premium pet food company, I and Love and You, to spread the word about some of Denver's most adoptable dogs.
All of these rescue pups have been in foster care for MONTHS...and are still (somehow!) waiting for the perfect person and place to call "home". You can read more about the project and the pups's bios at the link below. After working with these sweethearts during their photoshoot, I can't BELIEVE they haven't all been snatched up yet! Let's help them find a safe place to land this National Pet Day, so they can be loved and celebrated as they should be for the rest of their lives! <3
Click here to read more about the project, and, most importantly, all of these AMAZING dogs in need of a home!
All of the dogs are currently located in the Denver, CO area, but out-of-staters need not fret - now is the perfect time to travel to glorious Colorado to meet your soulmate! ;)

I LOVE the Goldendoodle pictures wow!!! Can you pleeeease share what you did to make them so bright and airy like that? More Lightroom magic??
Thank you!! For a brief 20min session start to finish, I’m pleased with how they turned out!
No Lightroom magic here for once - the bright and airy feel was purely from the location, an outdoor porch/balcony in open shade at the client’s home. Neutral, light exterior walls combined with cream colored tile sort of acted as natural reflectors, and the open shade on an otherwise sunny morning meant there were no harsh shadows to speak of. Here’s a before and after of one of the pictures so you can see just how little went into processing them this time!
SOOC (Straight-out-of-Camera):

Final product:

I love editing, but man, I wish all of my shoots went this way, LOL. It’s much more time efficient and still yields beautiful results!
#asks#photography#photo editing#Anonymous#I also really really try not to do much editing on minis unless absolutely necessary for cost reasons#so this worked out great
