Your FTMblr community post showed up in the Billy Joel tag but I can't comment without joining the community and I don't want to do that because I'm not transmasc I'm a cis lesbian ally but as an eminent Billy Joel scholar, I don't know of any specific stories of guys getting super into Billy Joel right when they came out but I do know a few other transmasc Billy Joel fans and it makes sense to me. He's a short king who started out with a pretty high voice that deepened throughout his adult years and he was never happy with his own voice and likes it better now that it's lower. Also his 70s look is kinda tboy swag.
