Anddd some cute little Idia art I did earlier!! Felt like this post was a good time to share it!

💙 typically a younger regressor. About 1-4ish and tends to be non verbal at times

💙 an absolute cry baby. Poor guy just has some big feelings!!

💙 comfort and soother items are a must! Pacis, blankies, stuffies. All of it!

💙 tries to game while small, but usually doesn’t work out too well unless he’s feeling a bit older. Even then he really only plays games like Minecraft and animal crossing.

💙 a biggg cuddler! If he had it his way, he’d rather sit and snuggle all day and not do much else.

💙 on super small days? Paci baby through and through!!

💙 does super well with encouragement in the little things! Makes him feel small but also special. Things like “you’re doing such a good job building that house kiddo!” While he’s playing his games!! It means a lot! Even if he does get a little flustered.

Best part about writing fics and having editing access? I can make little content for my favs that don’t have any!! Sooo here we are! And if you guys want more of these, do ask!! I’d be glad to!!

💜 kiddo regressor! Usually 4-7!

💜 messy and reckless. Games like ‘spies’ and ‘hunters’ are his cup of tea. Andddd usually lead to him tracking mud throughout most of the dorm. Buttt… is not opposed to the occasional tea party and dress up.

💜 he will talk your ear off and has a never ending amount of questions! As if he’s stuck in that ‘why?’ phase.

💜 he likes to ‘observe’ and draw pictures of what he sees! One of his favorite things to do actually! And it keeps him quiet for the most part.

💜 Not really one for things like pacifiers or bottles or really many toys. Maybe some stuffed animals, though that’s because he’s more of an imaginative kiddo and would much rather come up with everything on his own.

💜 Though when he’s around 4 and the younger side of his regression, a sippy cup is a must!

💜 as always, plenty of snacks. He plays hard and needs to keep that energy up!

💜 when he’s feeling sleepy? Just read him some books and play with his hair! Easiest way to settle him, even if he’s still bouncing off the walls.

for all of our lives so many autistic people are told they don't play, or they play wrong, because they play differently. some regressors feel like they lost their ability to play, but when youre told since you were actually little that how you play "isnt play" that may not be the case. Play can be--

brushing a doll's hair or changing their clothes

sorting blocks or other toys into categories

touching a toy and taking in its sight, feel, sounds, smells

lining things up

taking things apart and putting them back together

moving toys around without a story involved

autistic play is still play, "abnormal" play is still play, as long as youre having safe fun, its play!!♡♡
