there is very little talk about this case outside german language media and anti fascist circles, but it's a really important case for antifas across europe and the world, so it's worth looking into!

i only just today heard about Kumanjayi White, a 24 year old disabled Warlpiri man who was killed by northern territory police on May 27th. He was handcuffed and forced to the ground, face down, with an officers knee on his neck. He was walking around a grocery store, by himself. A worker at the grocery store described him, saying, "One look and you can tell he's got special needs".

A poor and disabled Aboriginal man was killed in the northern territory and i can't help but notice the similarities to George Floyd. Murdered in a public place, knee on the back of his neck. Only difference is i havent heard a word about this anywhere, in the news or otherwise, since it occured 2 and a half fucking weeks ago. where's the anger? i dont like making political posts, i hope this doesnt break containment its just. god its fucking pissing me off right now.

a lot of times when i see people defending the notion of afab transfems/amab transmascs they bring up intersex people, which is very good and true!

but also. idk how to tell people this. but y'all know that nonbinary people also take hormones too right. there are people right now in this world who were assigned female but have flat chests, beards, deep voices, hairy bodies, even penises, and yet still identify with womanhood or with some sort of feminine gender or presentation. there are people assigned male, with a male or masculine gender or presentation, who have breasts, no facial or body hair, a high voice, and even a vagina. by choice! they want that AND they do not identify in a way which aligns with how society views them! like why is it so hard for transgender peoole to wrap their heads around the idea that your gender assigned at birth does not have the sole impact on how you are gendered going about the world right now.

or maybe a better question: why is it that binary aligned people can understand that trans women can move through the world being socialized as women regardless of their assigned gender, and trans men can move through the world being socialized as men regardless of their assigned gender, but y'all can't comprehend the idea that a nonbinary person might move through the world in a way that doesn't align with their assigned gender OR their gender identity, and may as a result use "weird" or "nonsensical" labels to describe an experience that binary language was never meant to accurately express?
