Possible that she might age as slow as a Viera if this is the case. Her origin tribe from the Steppe or those who’ve migrated from the Far East is still a mystery. Her nature might suggest she possibly originates from Borlaaq, Kha, Chaghan, Qerel, and Torgud (the last was based on a few occasions of bare strides as a child; pure hypothesis)

- Ral - Jayde’s father figure, Viera, teacher, and scholar in Sharlayan, and formerly Colony. Found Jayde as a child, was not privy to her involvement with the Sevestre until after her disappearance pre-Calamity. Kept an eye on her travels secretly thanks to Krile and Papalymo’s efforts.

- Louisoix - Archon and leader of Circle of Knowing. Once a target of Jayde’s superior, but proved too powerful to even incapacitate. Louisoix discussed his intentions with Jayde, pushing her to question her role against him, leading to a major refocus on her views of “justice”.

- Sevestre - Jayde’s superior, leader of the Bibliothecs faction, Forum member, enemy. The two fought when he attempted to reinstate her within his faction to capture Leveva. She continues to eye the man with suspicion and is easily threatened by him, and with good reason.

- Kan-E-Senna - Leader of Gridania, Elder Seedseer, former lover, friend. Kan-E secretly pursued Jayde in an attempt to “experience” romance during her time in Gridania. Only lasted for a few months before national issues spiked in response to the Garlean threat. They continue to write letters to each other, with Jayde sharing much of her adventures, issues, and vice versa.

- Haurchefant - Knight of Ishgard. Actively pursued Jayde, who reciprocated during her time in Coerthas pre-Calamity as a mercenary. Sought shelter with him during the “regicide” incident. Romance cut short following his untimely death.

- Papalymo - A fellow Sharlayan and former tutor, fellow Scion. Helped Jayde with her struggles in magic applications during early classes. Kept tabs on her post-Calamity under the instructions of her father.

- Alisaie - Fellow Scion, friend. After dealing with what remained of Bahamut, Alisaie followed Jayde on most of her travels, becoming infatuated with her. Despite some reservations, Alisaie’s forwardness, valor, constant concerning impressed her enough to open up again, even to push her to someone else’s arms.

Cinna Bunroll - A Viera woman hailing from Dalmasca, she and her family were refugees and sought to protect their new home. Joining the Scions post Calamity, Cinna aids in many of their endeavors and proves to be valuable ally and lover.

Background—

Sharlayan student by day, secret assassin by night. Jayde was trained in combat to hunt down potential threats to the isle’s secrets. Worked for the Bibliothecs is keeping forbidden knowledge a secret until the words of Archon Louisoix, an potential target she failed to silence, swayed her that Sharlayan could do more for the world as a whole instead of simply watching.

Wanting to use her profound knowledge and exceptional martial abilities, Jayde tried to put her skills to use in the defense of Eorzea, but her superiors punished her for failures. Giving her the means to reach Eorzea, they took back what they gave her: knowledge; supressing her memories. Now a wanderer of the “savage” lands, she has no memory of her former life, and yet her nature and desires still pushes her to aid the nations under siege against the Empire, and even then, not all was lost as a newly awakened user of the Echo, looking within past memories left a rather benign side effect in weakening the enchantment. Only then would she begin to learn more of who she was and where she came from.

Joining the Scions with Papalymo’s help, Jayde was set into defending the realm as she promised Louisoix, even if she doesn’t remember just yet. As she traveled and fought wars against Garlean, Dragons, and madmen, Jayde grew stronger to push forward, especially with the help of a fellow Scion, Cinna Bunroll, who found alongside her through it all.
