NEED HELP AFTER DAD'S PASSING

you may or may not know this, but my dad passed away on 02/20/25. he was only 64, and he was the sole income for my entire household, which now consists only of me and my brother. we need help with our bills for march because it'll take my brother a while to get a job and for us to get to a new normal.

i do not at any point in time want to be in a dark house, because i am autistic, prone to suicidal ideation, and don't do well with my source of distraction being taken away. if that resonates with you, you probably know exactly the feeling i'm talking about when it's taken away.

Sweet, Spicy or Savory: If I could only have one it would be savory for sure. Not much of a spice gal but seeing as I love sichuan cuisine I'm working on it!

Last Thing I Googled: 苍兰决 (cang lan jue) my favorite cdrama and a comfort show for me!

Current Obsession: Odd little creatures. I love deep sea creatures so very much. I love anything to do with new species discoveries, like last year we (the public, scientists found the fella in like 2005 I think) found out about a snake that was bigger than titanoboa, who could already get up to over 40 feet long! Other things: chinese (language, culture, hanfu, media, just everything), sims, opabinia and anything sea related, neuropsychology (though im a bit too dumb for it but i enjoy it anyway!)

Looking Forward To: I've always been a rather pessimistic person, but this year I'm actually rather hopeful! (Other than living in the US and having all that comes with the next 4 years, yay!) I've learned so much about myself the last couple years. I used to feel broken, but I learned I have autism and adhd and so much of my life made sense. Now I have something to work towards. Understanding how to live life with these things instead of trying to fight against it. So I'm looking forward to that. To maybe going back to school even? I don't usually share much about myself here so it feels a bit odd! You're supposed to tag people but I am too nervous for that! 😅

I kinda hate naming chinese sims because my chinese is not good enough to pick up on double meanings, so if there is one in her name... no there isn't! Anyway, here is 艾秀英！I now know 秀英 is a district in 海口市 but uh.. hopefully it's not too weird of a name on its own

She started off as a sims 4 sim and I wanted to recreate her in my beloved sims 3

Big changes for eden! She left home for uni in denmark (it's actually Saaqartoq, greenland but i later learned there is no university in greenland so i retconned her lived experience. mb eden!) She went on a few dates until meeting Niivi, with whom she really clicked with！Niivi is norweigan but was born in greenland. Gonna out myself here as an idiot: niivi was supposed to be greenlandic, but i mistakenly assumed greenlanders would look similar to nordic people. I've since learned a ton about greenland, although there isn't a ton of information online given the population being only 60,000. Gonna stop myself from infodumping about it, but it's been great fun to learn about since then!

Happy birthday eden! Reece also aged up, but he was making that silly cross eyed face, so no post for him， sorry buddy! Not sure why dad looks so bored :(

Choice sim challenge

saw @papermint-airplane do the choice sim challenge and so i tried it myself! meet cy'tari xenarion, my little alien gal fascinated by the 1970s

i chose:

skin color: dark&cold

body features: alien markings

defining feature: small eyes

eye color: green eyes

hair length and texture: short&wavy

hair color: platinum+ 2 additional colors (it's hard to tell there's 2 but they're there!)

aesthetic: retro

accessories: just...everything (earings+necklace+rings+piercings). i didn't do all of these because it didn't go with the outfit so i kinda cheated..oops
