heās totally running into the other man, taking a step back on contact⦠and completely spilling his entire cup of very hot coffee all over himself! ā shit. thatās hot. ā
Oh shit-
"Hey , um , here."
When one cooks , sometimes on the spots., Shun always brings a towel to wipe himself with afterwards. After all the kitchen is a hot place and you can get sweat everywhere if your not careful.
"You alright? do we need to call a hospital?"
Yosuke acquired one towel [1].

"No , I mean I don't have money at all outside of chores. I'm just starting my part time tomorrow so... but...I guess I can look at the list. Its going to be busy but ...thanks. It means a lot."
"I thought with my dyed hair and looks, A lot of people won't be as nice as you in town."
It was a apprehension of course.
"You got any recommendations?" He queries, looking around and thankfully seeing no one behind him. Of course ,no one wanted to go near the person who looks like a delinquent with his blue hair.
" oh, wellā " he pauses for a second, lips twisting in discomfort at how awkward and out of place that question was, it seemed. he didn't expect the dude to have one, of course, but the question was always present in yosuke's mind.
the town was tiny, sure, but there were other places to go. " um. well, there's okina, and a few side towns around that area. i've been a couple of times with some friends. " he gives it a shrug, not wanting to talk him into it, or otherwise. " i can show you the catalogue i got mine from. some of 'em are pretty reasonable, all things considered. "

"...Nah, I don't have the money to get that."
In fact he's a bit broke, sure he's going to work in the ramen store whenever he can, and whatever place can accept a part timer like him. that job board sure was handy, but right now he's broke and didn't have the money, or the desire to actually get a scooter since he's not going to bring it back to tokyo anytime soon.
"You think I should get one? The town pretty...small."
a chuckle, at the other's acceptance for a tour guide. junes was closing in a few hours and with all of his duties fulfilled, his dad always said he could clock out early if he had nothing else to do. which would be what he had going on today.
after lifting heavy boxes with little to no help from the trucks to the back of the store, he was sore, man! tired, too. but he wouldn't put off giving someone the full view of inaba. sure, it was the sticks, and there wasn't much to really do as far as the town went. but if you had transportation, there was always okina. heck, even the subways went that way.
" yosuke hanamura. " he replied with a wink. " do you have a way to get around? like, a scooter or something. "

"I'm...not. I'm doing groceries for my ma. She's ah.... living her for recovery reasons."
And meaning like the good son, he's here because he has to take care of most of the chores while she does her recovery. Its nothing serious but if he doesn't do this ma will file for some serious stuff against his dad.
"It was just a observation, but I guess its not going to be answered anytime soon...anyways..."
"I'm ... Shun. I just moved here, well temporary."
āIt is?ā
First time Kanji's heard of it. They've got a butchershop, yeah, and a ton of specialties ā all of which Chie-senpai's sampled in droves. Outside of getting together with the team, an occurrence that's sadly rare now, Kanji hadn't poked around many of the shops period. His Ma's cooking would fill up anyone, no matter if they had one helping or five.
... Wait, why's a total stranger talkin' to him about beef of all things?
āHell if I know. Probably shipments? That's where I get most'a my supplies from, but I'm not ordering any damn cows. Uh - is that even possible?ā
Wait, don't you gotta' have a body of water in order to receive shipments? Scratching lazily at his head, Kanji shrugged his shoulders.
ā'm guessing that's why you're here? Who the hell travels to a town in the middle of nowhere for a slab of beef?ā
#ic#puts my p4 verse in effect#i have not wirtten it at all /delusional#don't worry shun is used to judgemental stuff!!#unless its about his food then get stuffed

"Its fine, thats how small towns usually are right? Finding out everything by the end of the day."
Having nothing to do but work and gossip he understands theres really not much anyone could do at this point. His mom is sick, and he's here for the year until he goes back to Tokyo. Nothing more or less than that.
"You serious? That would be great. Mom still in the hospital resting, so I got nothing else to do." Shun is very thankful to the man! If he was a wild card this would be the start of a social link, alas no mysterious murders thanfully happening this year!
"Ah, right I havne't introduced myself. I'm Kanou Shun."
ā oh man, sorry if that was a rough subject. i tend to put my foot in my mouth sometimes. ā he says, the smile on his face rather sheepish, as he tries to ignore the awkwardness in the air. he did wonder what happened with his mother, but it was none of his business. though, he does wonder if heād seen her around before. maybe not.
nodding, yosuke merely listens, only responding once heās sure shun is finished talking. he knew how it felt to get interrupted, and yosuke still did it when he was excited or something, but he was getting better at fixing his bad habits.
ā yeah, dad has me working most days, so iām around junes a lot. unfortunately. ā laughter then, but his words were mostly in jest. he and his father never quite saw eye to eye, and while the saying was, forgive and forget, it was hard. it was hard living out in the boonies and being⦠happy. especially if you came from the city, like he had. ā hey, you want a tour guide? i just clocked out. ā he asked, shooting the other a wink.
#ic#he's a very well polite young man!!!!!#don't worry just don't insult food#and he won't go apeshit

"I'm moving in actually, well staying for a year. I got to take care of my... um mom."
Former mom? divorse was a bitch and she hurt her back too, doing back breaking labor that made everyone frown at work abuse. Alas there wasn't much he could do, and between both his parents, he has a lot to worry about since they married and divorsed pretty late.
He's in casual clothes but maybe the next time they meet, he be in Inaba Highschool clothes. After all its just going to be a year.
He hopes.
"She told me to get used to the area, and I guess we're going to be meeting a lot since I'm going to do most of her chores."
" those bad boys are buried deep!... and i haul boxes from the delivery trucks most of the time. " he says, a look on his face that suggests distaste. " it's all pretty heavy... especially the canned goods, so sometimes it's hard to not get back pain from lifting so much heavy stuff, y'know? " he lets out a little chuckle, however, knowing that all probably sounded a bit silly. sure he was only in his early 20's, but the boxes were heavy, man!
a soft sigh, thinking about the next wave of delivery trucks that'll swing by when yosuke goes back to work the next day. he didn't really mind the store, despite what the housewives would say about him, but some of it was pretty tiresome.
" heck yeah they're good! "
yosuke laughs a little then. " you could say a lot about junes, but our fruits and veggies are usually always pretty good. " not that he was trying to sell the store, just being honest. " how long are you in inaba for? is this a vacation? " who would take a vacation out to the sticks?
#puts some trauma into my soy like a imprint#anyways i made my namatame a smt x persona multi since the fandom looks#to be reviving#hopefully it won't be as messy as last time...

"Why would...never mind."
His voice reminds polite though his eyes were on the ailes where everything was sorted. Inaba beef had this weird flavor that was impossible to describe, but it tasted like beef, but he somehow knew in his heart it was not beef.
"You're pretty young so why would your back break? I mean you look spry."
What he meant to say is that the other looked very atheletic if a bit slim. But thats just him, maybe there was something in country living that made getting fat impossible?
oh well.
"So are the carrots good?"
ā itās not too bad. processed to hell, but at junes we never had any complaints⦠thereās a lot of farmland around, so itās not hard to find good beef. or any meat, actually. ā he pauses for half a second, hands coming to rest against his hips, a slight lean backward. ā you ever farm carrots? those bad boys are impossible to yank out of the ground. pretty sure i pulled something in my back the first time! ā

"Hey....I have a question. Inaba is known for its beef but...I haven't really seen any beef farms around here. So where does the beef come from?"
