My mom before I came out as trans: 😱 you didn’t shave your pits and legs??? 😰 someone might see this!!! Girls have to shave their body hair cause they’re cleaner than men, that’s why I won’t say anything about your brother’s, but you? This is humiliating, I can’t believe you wouldn’t shave when someone might see it 😠

My mom after I came out as trans: you know, men shave their legs and armpits too. Plenty of them do. It’s a normal and common thing. Especially professional male swimmers, which you’re not. Dont let being a man keep you from shaving. I still won’t say anything to your brother about his body hair. Don’t question that too hard.

personally i feel like a political system that relies on tens of thousands of people spending hours upon hours to beg those in power not to pass the "Behead All Orphans Act" is uh. kind of a failure.

I asked your boyfriend what her pronouns are and she looked away nervously and shrugged and said "i don't really care. anything is fine" so I called her "she" and she blushed a bit and said "thank you" and now she looks distressed and helpless whenever you call her "he" so I'm taking her home with me :)

what is it that makes people earnestly believe rice becomes immune to pest contamination, microplastics or bacterial growth when it's stored and shipped in a western country vs. anywhere else in the world? I mean the answer is obvious it's just constantly amazing to me that americans in particular will look up from their 19th food recall of the month and insist that actually their rice is special and repels rat piss

I buy my rice from a nice shiny supermarket and it comes in a sealed bag and the bag comes from a perfectly clean factory and it never sits around anywhere for an extended period of time but if it did it would be in a big sterile room where rodents can't reach it and it's grown on a nice farm that looks just like the one on the packaging with a big red barn and a smiling farmer and the farm has no dirt and no bugs and the rice is sorted by rice elves who mill the grains perfectly by hand and turn all the husks into fresh air and birdsong. I know all this for sure because it's how I feel.
