if you are a passing and/or white trans man who feels he has complete and utter male privilege and thus you decide that the word 'transandrophobia' is pointless, I need you to understand that NO ONE IS HOLDING A GUN TO YOUR HEAD AND FORCING YOU TO USE THIS TERM.
Congrats on your very rare and lucky circumstance, where you can apparently live as an out and open trans man and still be accepted as a 'correct man' by cishet society, with all the privilege this entails. Congrats on never facing medical discrimination. Congrats on never being sexually assaulted in a way that is directly targeted at your transmasculinity.
Now accept that your experiences are NOT universal.
If you genuinely believe you have 100% male privilege... then it is your job to uplift and centre the voices of transmascs who do NOT have this.
The voices of passing stealth trans men who may have 'passing privilege' (a bullshit concept) in that they are read as men in social interactions, but who still face hideous medical and political discrimination and who live in fear of their 'secret' ever being discovered.
The voices of bigender and nonbinary and multigender transmascs, who are forever left out of these conversations. And the voices of transmascs for whom passing 'as cis' was NEVER the goal. The voices of those whose transmasculinity is hated because it is a 'wrong masculinity', not just because they are seen by bigots as 'confused women'.
The voices of nonpassing transmascs and intersex transmascs and those whose presentation means they are NEVER read as a man, but as an 'incorrect man', an 'incorrect woman', a mix of both, or 'something entirely other and worse' - those who are misgendered and malgendered constantly in an ever-changing way, depending on which can most hurt them.
The voices of those who have suffered attempts at reproductive forced detransition directed SPECIFICALLY at their transmasc identity, with the intent to force feminisation through pregnancy (like me. hi.).
The voices of Black and indigenous trans men in particular, but also all transmascs of colour who want to be able to talk about how the specific intersections of negative masculine stereotypes and racism are leveraged against them to portray them as uniquely violent and predatory.
There were ace people who claimed they never faced aphobia, and thus the word shouldn't be used for ANY ace people.
There were bi people who claimed they never faced biphobia, and believed fully that they had 'straight-passing privilege', and therefore thought the word 'biphobia' shouldn't be used for ANY bi people.
These people were using their relative privilege within their own underprivileged communities, to attack their more vulnerable siblings.
You are parrotting these same bigoted arguments, from a place of privilege.
If you do not think you are affected by transandrophobia, maybe consider that you shouldn't talk down to those who DO face it in their daily lives.

if anybody has twitter please don’t harass anybody in this post or the comments but, god this is depressing https://twitter.com/frogs4girls/status/1936976317083492605?s=46&t=9zVv5UQ2unwdlxICkKhasQ
For anybody who doesn’t wanna click on the link, somebody asked if JKR has ever even acknowledged trans men. And I wanna say about half of the comments are saying “yes, her whole transphobia arc kicked off with a huge hate campaign about trans men/mascs before she later switched targets to focus on trans women/fems”, but the other half just…don’t know. Or forgot. It wasn’t even all that long ago and people are already forgetting. And I kinda suspected as much? But it’s depressing seeing the evidence of it.
People really do forget about trans guys extremely often, and the hatred of them is overlooked way too often. It's sad.

I'm a little scared to bring this up, bc I really don't want to insinuate that conservatives/patriarchy etc whatever, favors trans women over trans men, bc I do not think this at all, but everytime I see trfs insist that trans men are liked better by society, especially when they act like conservatives treat trans men better, I think of Caitlyn Jenner, Blaire White, I think of how the closest thing to their transmasc equivalents I can come up with, are detrans grifters. Even in more liberal circles how many trans man celebrities are well known vs trans woman? Off the top of my head I can name Elliot Page and Laith Ashley and that's about it. But for trans women there's Laverne Cox, Caitlyn Jenner, the Wachowski sisters (not celebrities per se but they are respected directors), Hunter Schafer, Jazz Jennings. Maybe I'm just getting more knowledge about the women than the men and it cancels out? Ones ability to gain and retain notoriety as a celebrity and/or conservative grifter is certainly not the epitome of privelege in society and certainly even if more trans women are currently existing in these spaces it doesn't mean they have it better than the trans men in those circles. But I think it is a pretty good indicator that no actually, trans men are not treated better by society bc if that were the case there'd be 10 times as many trans man celebrities at all levels of popularity and that simply does not happen.
Yeah I see a lot more famous trans women than trans men. I wonder why that is.

the lack of recognition of how bathroom bills affect intersex people is intersexism.
this laws are usually pushed under transmisic agenda, and it's fair that trans rights advocacy addresses transmisia in these campains and laws. but these laws also affect intersex people.
some intersex people look visibly sex variant. and they are also seen as a threat to the sex and gender essentionalism. transmisia and intersexism are intertwined and may become inseparable in some parts.
intersex people are also at risk in gendered spaces. we can also be harassed, banned, charged for "violation," face various violence.
it's important to recognize that risk and remember about intersex people in discussions of these laws.

Let’s all light a candle and pour one out for all the trans men who never got to figure out they’re men because they were raised to believe they couldn’t ever be anything other than a wife and a mother and if they ever left the church that all their friends and family go to then they’ll burn in hell for all of eternity. May the names engraved on their tombstones fade to nothing and the dresses they were buried in disintegrate.

“Theyfab” “Cuntboy” “Zippertits”
There is a reason that the language transphobes use against trans men and mascs emphasizes femininity and is often explicitly sexual.
They don’t see us as men or even people, we are sexual objects to them. They’re also just mask-off misogynists who think that femininity is an insult.

“tme theyfab” “the he/they with huge tits” “uwu softboy jakey” why don’t you just call me a trans identified female and be done with it.

The only reason why transphobes always ask “what is a woman” instead of “what is a man” is because we all know that a man is a featherless biped.

Trans fems try not to address trans men like hysterical women challenge impossible. It was cute that you added the man at the front of the tantrum part to act like you weren't trying to call us pathetic women.

A dark comedy about a cult leader who suddenly comes to his senses, realises that running a cult actually fucking sucks, tries to quit several times but the followers are too clingy, until he realises that the only way to get rid of them is to fake his own death in the most credible, believable, tangible way possible, in a way where absolutely none of them could deny that they really saw their leader straight-up die right in front of their eyes. Wouldn't even cross their minds to doubt that the corpse isn't the real deal. Their idea that their precious leader could never die (he said so once, while on cocaine) is shattered, their whole world is shattered.
So the former cult leader weasels out of it and starts a brand new, completely normal life somewhere else, happily pretending that absolutely none of that ever happened.
And then the followers find him again.

Honestly, if you're a kid and an adult tells you "they're just trying to get a reaction out of you :)" as a response to being told that some younger kid is tormenting you, that should count as full permission to punt that little shit. Like I would never hit a child, but if you're seven years old and a five-year-old is being a cunt at you and adults just tell you "oh they just want to find out what happens if they keep doing that", wouldn't only be fair to let them know what happens if they keep doing that?
Siblings should never be left responsible of raising each other, but if adults have decided that they are allowed to fuck around, wouldn't it only be your right - or even downright duty - to let them consequently find out?

Online conservative guys obsessed with movie casting have spent years insisting that all that matters is that the actor looks as much like the character as possible. So you can't try to make the cast more diverse, you have to cast who looks like the character exactly. Anyway after one round of people suggesting a trans actress who looks uncannily like Zelda play Zelda in the Legend of Zelda movie they're going "well, there are more important things than looking like the character". Fellas, I'm starting to think these people just want to keep marginalized people from playing anyone

As a trans woman, girls, sometimes y'all need to shut up and listen to trans men. They also face a lot of discrimination in various areas that we don't.
Likewise, trans men, sometimes y'all need to shut up and listen to trans women. We face a lot of discrimination that you don't.
Both need to 100% listen to non-binary and intersex people. The amount of hatred I've seen from trans men and trans women toward enbies and intersex people is staggering. I'm really starting to see what all the jokes about the average tumblr user's reading comprehension are about. Some of y'all cannot see past your own identity and the discrimination you face.
Little secret, cishets don't like *any* of us. All of us should be free to speak on our own experiences of discrimination *without* the other groups dismissing, belittling and patronising us. We are all degenerates in the eyes of society and the only way we survive is by listening to eachother and caring for eachother as a collective.
Nobody else in the trans or intersex community is your enemy. We all have bad apples, but broadly we are all in this together and I really don't see why trans women can't understand that trans men face discrimination and I really don't get why trans men can't do the same.
Why are you tearing into your closest allies like this? Why are you reducing the chances that any of us survive? Accept that sometimes, you aren't the affected party and own up when you make mistakes.

you're NOT a bad person if you can't read, if you are illiterate in some way, or if your reading comprehension isn't that great
THAT is not why literacy is important
Literacy is important because without it, you are much easier to lie to
it is so much easier to make you believe something that isn't true because you do not possess the ability to find other information--much of it written, but not all
you *need* to be able to discern and understand what is happening, because there are people who want to do things to hurt you or others without your knowledge
assessing and analyzing that classical book that uses metaphor and talks about how people in power will stop at nothing to remain in power, an opinion piece in the newspaper explaining why everyone should just calm down about fascism, a political skit on SNL, whatever, is actually incredibly important so that you know what people are saying and doing right in front of you
many civilizations throughout history have lived and died over their people allowing something horrific to happen right under their noses
and *this* is why governments that are corrupt and leaders who want to operate without oversight *always* restrict education and journalism and media--they all require literacy to engage with, and cutting down on what people are *allowed* to think about is the number one way fascists try to control a people
you are not bad for not being literate
but please do not cheerlead further ignorance and revel in your lack of ability to parse information
we fight for freedom for all--and an essential part of that is literacy
