My friend @joeremillard has a fantastic show at the Plattsburgh State Art museum, so we came up to see his work. Then I discovered the university has the most comprehensive collection of Rockwell Kent. It was a good day for art. Robert Wyatt Hunter 1969-2022 Everyday I awaken to the fact that Wyatt is no longer in this world, and the pain takes my breath away. Trying to live my normal life with this knowledge has been like a horrible dream I can’t wake up from. His unexpected death has taken a piece of me with him. I feel like my relationship with Wyatt was part of my persona in some way. So now we are left with our memories of him, and there are so many good ones. So many adventures, SO MUCH laughter. That’s what I’ll remember most… pee your pants, side splitting laughter. Someone told me Wyatt could have taught a master class in LIVING. This is so true. He didn’t waste a moment. Not to be trite, but this is the lesson we are left with. Live your life to the fullest. Hold your friends and family close. Let everyone know how much you love them. I have no regrets about that with Wyatt. He knew how much I adored him. We told each other all the time and we knew we were fortunate to have sustained a 23 year friendship that just kept getting better. I have hesitated to post this because sharing it makes it more real, but I felt compelled to because anyone who follows me knows about Wyatt. He was such a big part of my life. The common theme in everyone’s remembrances of him is that there was simply no one like him. There really wasn’t. We are all better for having had him in our lives. #laceyandhyatt4ever
