Today is the 36th anniversary of Skinny Puppy’s fourth studio album ‘VIVIsectVI’, released September 12th 1988 on Nettwerk & Capitol Records. The central part of the album cover is an x-ray of designer Steven R. Gilmore’s own skull, with added bits and pieces from other x-ray images he was given by a friend's father. Out of all the covers Gilmore has done, he has always said that this one was his favorite.
