Vorbereitet sein

Keiner ist immer gut drauf. Jeder hat mal einen schlechten Tag oder auch eine miese Woche. Aber wir dürfen auch in Phasen, in denen unser Leben nicht so glatt läuft, mit anderen über Jesus reden. Bist du durch die Prüfung gefallen? Springt dein Auto nicht mehr an? Weißt du nicht, wie du die nächste Miete bezahlen sollst? Wie gehen wir mit solchen Situationen um? Gott hat nicht versprochen, solche Dinge von uns fernzuhalten, sondern er will die negativen Umstände benutzen, um daraus etwas Gutes zu machen, zu seiner Ehre. (Römer 8,28-29)

Wenn unsere Freunde und Verwandten beobachten, wie wir auch in schwierigen Zeiten gelassen und stark bleiben, dann wundern sie sich und fragen: „Warum kannst du jetzt, wo alles schief geht, so fröhlich sein?“ Vielleicht sagen sie auch: „Ich wünschte, ich wäre so wie du.“ Das sind die Augenblicke, auf die du vorbereitet sein musst. Davon schreibt Petrus in 1. Petrus 3,15: Wir sollen darauf vorbereitet sein, in verständlichen Worten über unseren Glauben, über Gott und unsere Zukunft mit Gott zu sprechen. Schwierige Zeiten sind oft ein Türöffner für solche Gespräche.

Oft warten wir auf die passende Gelegenheit, um über unseren Glauben zu sprechen. Aber Jesus sagte zu seinen Jüngern, sie sollen „gehen“ und „zu Jüngern machen“. Beim Einkaufen, bei der Arbeit, auch in unangenehmen Situationen, egal wohin wir gehen, immer können wir mit anderen Menschen über die Hoffnung sprechen, die wir durch den Glauben an Jesus haben. Im Alltag haben andere die Möglichkeit, uns zu beobachten und selbst zu sehen, wie wir mit Gott leben. Sie wundern sich, stellen Fragen und wir haben die Chance, ihnen von unserer Beziehung zu Gott zu erzählen.

BE AN EXAMPLE

Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. (NLT) ( 1 Timothy 4:12 ) Don't be fooled into thinking that only mature, godly people can spread God's message. God works through people of all ages. The best way to spread his message is to live it so that others can learn by example. Pick one thing that honors God, such as being truthful, ethical at work, caring for those less fortunate, or loving others more than yourself. Take action on the one that's missing in your life and others will see God's work through you.

The spirit that Jesus gave us, the spirit who raised the dead to live again, the spirit who heals the lame and the blind is greater than the spirit in the world.

Let us be the salt and the light to this world. Let us show the world how it should be. Let share the love, kindness, patience and humbleness that Jesus shared with us.
