PLOTTER CALL !

Despite Gwendolyn’s warrior upbringing she is actually a very compassionate young woman. She is not someone who is difficult to befriend as long as your interests align with her own. So below I’ve listed a few different relationships I can see panning out for Gwendolyn while in Isola. Please comment with whatever number you’d be interested in pursuing and I’ll shoot you an IM in the coming days to plot ! Also if we have a thread going already or if you liked my previous ad don’t be afraid to give this one a like as well. I really enjoy plotting out in depth dynamics so feel free. 

[ 1 ] FRIENDS / ALLIES : As stated above compared to the other Valkyries Gwendolyn is widely known to be the kindest. In game her compassion is mistaken for weakness but if anything Gwendolyn’s more tender emotions cause her to be even stronger on and off the battlefield. She is an incredibly loyal friend and once you gain her trust she will fight by your side without question. 

[ 2 ] BIRD FRIENDS : She is… very obviously a bird gal or rather a Valkyrie in technical terms. I think it would be fun for her to interact with other winged/avian characters since in her world the only other people with wings outside of the Valkyrie are the fairies and they aren’t always on the best terms with Gwendolyn’s kingdom. So yeah bonding birds would be amazing. [ 3 ] SPARRING PARTNERS : Princess may proceed her name but Gwendolyn is first and foremost a lady of war. She believes in honor on the battlefield and fair fights as long as her combat partner agrees to do so. That being said just because there is no impending battle ( at the moment ) Gwendolyn doesn’t want her skills to get rusty so someone to spar with who can keep up with her would be much appreciated. Although, keep in mind at the moment she is only in possession of a wooden spear but that might be a good thing considering how overpowering Gwen is with her actual spear. [ 4 ] ENEMIES : Believe it or not Gwendolyn actually tries her best to avoid conflict if possible but she does not shy away from violence when wronged. Really the easiest way to get on her bad side is to threaten people she cares for or even endanger the innocent. As previously stated Gwendolyn is unlike her other sisters of flight given her unusual kindness. Her alignment falls under lawful good.  [ 5 ] ROMANCE ? : Not to be dramatic but she will die for the person she loves no joke. On a more serious note Gwendolyn is a very tender lover and she really gives her whole heart to the one she loves. For my own comfort sake I rather a romance with her bloom from a friendship instead of leaping right into love. But at the moment Gwendolyn isn’t exactly looking for a special someone especially given her position as a Valkyrie. When a Valkyrie dishonors their kingdom they are forced out of service and immediately wed. So, relationships in general are usually frowned upon among her ranks but ya know… anything is possible !

         A WORLD IN RUIN !  How the legends before them had been told, of a world on fire. From the carnage a new land would rise, the tale of Ragnarok, the demise of life as it was once known. Simply a PROPHECY among the magicians of Ragnanival yet as she gazed out upon the bleak horizon there was no sign of vitality for miles. The Princess knew not of the mythos of this realm yet the destitution felt akin to the violence of Ragnarok. Perhaps, a force just as mighty or even a power far beyond her comprehension.

         Amethyst eyes darkened with grief. Grief for a dominion which had met its end here, a people she could not and would not ever meet. ❛ What happened here... What tragedy befell them ? ❜ Openly she muses unable to stand idly in the wake of a cataclysm.

         SLEEP STILL CLOUDED HER VISION ! A gloom which felt nearly endless, yet once it subsided gave way to a world distant and unfamiliar. Aimlessly she wanders taking in the desolate landscape. The ravaged earth and those who witnessed its destruction. The Princess knew not of what had unfolded here but having witnessed such tragedies firsthand she could only imagine. Daze led her to a clearing where a single blossom bloomed. A flower reminiscent of ROSEMILE. The Valkyrie half expected magic to spring forth from its unfolded petals yet all was still. 

          Time seemed to draw out longer as she stood before the lone sprout. Approaching footsteps nearly fell upon deaf ears as she remained engrossed in the scenery. When she did turn to face her unexpected company vague recognition sparked in violet eyes.  ❛ You... ❜ Dreamily she begins, heavy fatigue still clinging to every word which fell from her lips. ❛ The Shadow Knight       Oswald. For you to be here as well... Surely this is a delusion of some sort. ❜

there wouldn’t be any reason to bear any ill-will towards other victims here, unless of course, they had something to do with the happenings of this wild predicament. i had already sulked and scorned, finally coming to an agreement that, if i were to help myself, i’d need to spend less time letting my anger simmer and boil, and spend more time on the move. my meeting with this particular stranger wasn’t planned, nor had i intentionally followed them. i did notice their weapon, however—another sorry sight. they had stripped us of our weapons, and with that, our pride. my eyebrows were knitted together, face glittered with disgust. my hate was open; obvious. ❝ … my intentions are not what you assume. ❞

i was not about to question the obscurity of her appearance. i had come to realize that not everyone here were human, and however startling and seemingly absurd it was, i wasn’t opposed to how surreal it was. was it childish of me to assume this was a dream? despite having hit myself a number of times for good measure. the pain i felt, both outwardly and inwardly, were real. i motioned to the stranger’s wooden spear; something that looked like a toy; ill-fitting for someone of her stature. she held the aura of importance different from others i had seen. ❝ … my condolences, ❞ i said. ❝ to your weapon. it seems we are in the same circumstance. ❞

         AND SO SHE SOFTENS ! Words of reassurance settling upon keen ears. Far from entirely at ease the warrior does manage to lower her weapon when addressed with sympathy. She sensed no pity in his words and thus allowed herself to still, the tension releasing from her whitened knuckles. ❛ Forgive my assumptions, I am wary given the circumstances at hand. ❜ Eyes of deep lilac meet his gaze, sincerity conveyed in a fleeting glance. Battle would always be her first instinct it was in her blood yet there was no need for hostility here. Especially when she felt adrift in this foreign land. 

         At first she is struck by his attempt to ease her sorrow. Although they be but perfect strangers it was a small act of kindness, one which relieved her heavy heart. ❛ Your words of comfort are much appreciated. ❜ Visibly the Princess brightens yet her regal poise remains. ❛ You have my sympathies as well. I know I was not the only one effected by this displacement. ❜ Another glimpse at the wooden weapon before her eyes focus on the knight yet again. ❛ The loss still feels ... profound        But perhaps that is for other reasons entirely. ❜ Being that it was almost as if she had lost her sister once more by having what had been most precious to her in life stolen away.

     She felt a slight breeze beside her as the stranger approached. Turning to face her, the Princess was taken aback at sincerity in her gaze. The hair ornament  — it was only a material item and yet it meant so much to Sakura. A precious gift from her eldest brother, given to her just before… No. She wouldn’t think of that now. To imagine that she would have lost what little she had left of him forever had it not been for this woman’s kindness… it would only bring her to tears. She did not want to embarrass herself like that now. Gently, Sakura took the item from the woman’s hands back into her own.

     “Thank you. I… I’m sorry for the trouble.” She supposed she had gotten lucky this time. “Not everyone would have returned this… I’m very grateful.” Even if the other did not realize it, the gesture meant the world to Sakura, and she felt as though simple thanks was not enough for what she had done. “I… My name is Sakura,” she attempted to say with conviction, though she struggled to do so. These were baby steps; perhaps eventually she would have more confidence. “It’s nice to meet you.”

         NO SECOND THOUGHT IS GIVEN ! To take what was surely not her own never crossed the Valkyrie’s mind. Knowing the value of one’s possessions she could not simply rest easily without seeking out the rightful owner. The Princess shakes her head at words of gratitude. Not for their lack of value but rather feeling unworthy of such high praise. This retrieval was the least of what she could achieve for a new acquaintance. ❛ No thanks is needed       It was no trouble at all. ❜ Even so, the edges of her lips betray her previously stoic expression as a faint smile is offered to the other girl. 

         ❛ I recently lost something very precious to me after arriving here. I would never wish that same fate upon anyone else. ❜ There is a soft sigh to her voice, a melancholy undertone yet the warrior persists. Grief swallowed with an alarming ease but the sorrow was hardly detectable outwardly. ❛ Sakura, it is a pleasure. ❜ With a hand raised to her chest a formal bow is given. Crown nestled in ivory locks glimmers slightly in the afternoon glow before she stands upright once more. ❛ I am Gwendolyn, glad to be of service to you. ❜

         THE LANDSCAPE WAS DESOLATE ! Surely, the aftermath of a tragedy unknown. Grounds covered in debris and edifices in varying states of decay. The sight was abysmal yet among the rubble there was vibrance. Kneeling down upon the dirt trodden path the Valkyrie recovered a flower-shaped hair ornament from the ground. Dusting off the glossed surface the Princess could only equate the quality of the jewelry in hand to a rather wealthy owner. Glancing towards the horizon a girl a little ways off appeared to have a matching flower nestled in her rose-colored locks. In pursuit of the young woman in question the war maiden takes flight gliding to the other royal’s side.

          FEATHERS OF BLUE AND VIOLET LITTER THE GROUND ! Distress hangs heavy in the air yet the princess maintains certain composure outside of her crestfallen expression. Gaze is downcast trained on the wooden spear clasped in her hands. The last remaining remnant of her late sister           Lost. Forever ? She did not know but the sting of absence was fresh. Out of her reverie she is startled by the approach of a nearly soundless knight. Immediately her grip on the modest weapon tightens.
