All of the above times ten. While the reveal in 4x07 was freaking terrible and tragic, it confirmed my fan theory that Elliot had a legitimate connection with Tyrell. I’m usually a pretty cautious shipper, but when Mr. Robot was talking about how he comes out to protect Elliot I immediately thought about past scenes with Tyrell in prior seasons. With the exception of the infamous “I love you” scene in 3x03, Mr. Robot has not come out to protect Elliot when Tyrell has directly touched him. 

No, they haven’t had any traditional romance scenes in the show like Domlene has, but given this, Elliot has shown that he is less likely to feel triggered or threatened by Tyrell’s touch and Mr. Robot has not felt the need to protect him in most cases. Even if I’m a Tyrelliot clown, I feel validated for this alone.

tyrell, the one elliot shares a bond, a connection with, the one that loves elliot genuinely after everything they’ve been through — yes, tyrell should be the one to heal elliot, to build him up.

Can we just talk about that Elliot actually remembered the Red Wheelbarrow poem from Tyrell’s recitation of it in tonight’s ep? Maybe just my shipper glasses but I do think Elliot does care about Tyrell, otherwise it wouldn’t stand out in his memory.
