Gabby turns around and winks at him “Only if you get on my bad side. But no, Merhib was an ass and it was a rescue mission and I needed to incapacitate him without killing him.  Although killing him would have been nice.”  

She handed the mugs over to her snakes and walked over to the new ghost, placing a hand on his shoulder.  “We don’t kill people because we like it.  It’s normally a situation that’s out of our control and that’s how we have to defend ourselves.  We’re both good people.  It’s been long enough that we can joke about it a little bit.  We probably shouldn’t have in front of you though, sorry darling.” She smiles up at him, “On another note did you find a fire-making device yet?”

[Spect-ler nervously rubs the back of his neck, shaking his head no. The old tower is quite barren in regards to anything material, and the ghost doesn’t dare go upstairs, fearful of what he may find. He hovers beside his new friends, and while searching in between the floorboards of what could be called a kitchen, he finds something at last.]

O-oh, um-- G-Gabby, I found, uh-- oh, n-nevermind...

[He sees her inquisitive look, and shows her what he’s found.]

I found a b-b-box of.. m-matches.... but there’s only t-two left.. and they’re, uhm... they’re wet. I don’t, uh... I-I don’t know if they can, uh... er.....

You ever heard of something being so cold that it’s hot? Or like it burns? That’s the closest thing I can do to heat. Unless you wanted to bring Merhib back from the dead and I’m pretty sure nobody wants that. Even for the sake of tea.

-Looks around, floats around outside- Um, I think found a few sticks or branches around here. Some really dry grass might work, too. There’s… a lot of that here so that might be the best option.

And then we can just like… make a pile, and rub it together, right? I’ve—I’ve actually never made heat or fire without like. A stove. Or microwave. Or something already on fire before.

“I put a sword through him.  I’m good not seeing him again.”  Gabby starts rummaging around, smiling a bit when she finds some mugs and a kettle.  

“Well if you have that and I have this we might pull this off if Ghosty-Goul finds like, a lighter or something.”  She shouted out to Beth, “Maybe we can pull this off.”

[Spect stops where he’d been helping Gabby find something to start a fire with, and he looks between his new friends.]

Li’l ice pin! Careful, it’s still taking shape. Might be cold to the touch. Like, really cold. As in dry ice cold. But it’ll settle after a second, don’t worry! I know it’s not much, but it’s just a little something so you know I’m here for you. You don’t have to always wear it, just keep it near ya and you’re good. Now, let’s see about getting some fire to make tea.

Gabby’s snakes gave a happy hiss at his smile and the gorgon couldn’t help but let our her own hissy chuckle.

“Beth’s right, it’s good to see you smile.  And it’s adorable too.”  She gave him a wink before standing up and stretching, moving toward him and giving him a hug, being careful to not sink into his form.  “Give it time.  Maybe you’ll remember, maybe you won’t.  Either way it will be ok.”

She let him go and turned to Beth, giving her a slight nudge, “Sure, let’s go be normal people and bang rocks together.  How does a Princess of Hell not know a bit of fire magic? I understand it contracting and you not being good at it but still girl, a little flame would rock.”  Turning back to the new ghost she gives him a smile.  “Are we allowed to look around or do you remember where rooms are at?”

Y-yeah, you can.. look around, i-if you’d like..... I-I don’t know where a-anything is, b-but you’re free.. t-to look! A-actually..

Gabby’s a bit startled by the mess but isn’t surprised and her snakes have started hissing with questions but she takes her jacket off and pulls up the only chair that looks like you can still sit it. She flips is around to face the ghosts and sits down backwards in the chair, her head resting on the back of it.

“You just said my name, not sure why to repeat but but fine.  I’m Gabby.  Once a human, now a gorgon.  I spend a lot of time learning everything I can ‘cause if I don’t I…well I start overthinking really and that’s not a great thing for me.”  Her snakes hiss in agreement as they look around.

“Beth, you got any fire powers ‘cause I ain’t seeing a heart source in here and I haven’t learned fire magic yet. You’re calmed now guy, do you know if you even like tea?”

N-no, I, um..

You had something horrible happen.  I…I don’t understand the memory loss but I understand everything you’ve every known having to change and you not liking that it has to.  Everyone needs help sometimes.  Right now you need it and we can give that to you.

Beth’s idea of talking sounds like a great plan.  Let’s go inside, sit down and chat.  I have some things for tea and we can all talk and be calm.  You’ve got a better hold of yourself; you’re easier to hear now.  That’s good but you’re still spiking a bit and if you don’t get that calmed down some sort of magical backlash is gonna happen.  

Let Beth lead you in and get you all the way calmed down.  Does this sound like a good plan to you?

[He takes a shallow breath. Spect-ler shuts his eyes, and as he breathes, the remainder of the energy around him begins to vanish. He opens his eyes again, looking between the two of them, and slowly nods his head.]

[He hesitates and looks between the pair, and gestures for them to follow him. He keeps his eyes to the ground, and only when they’re on the porch does he dare to look up. The front door is still wide open, and so he goes in, hovering to the side to let the newcomers see inside. At least, what’s left of the inside.]
