No, I’m not trying to “reinvent” plurality or IFS

Im not trying to tell anyone they can’t use the term plural and have to use the term polymind (??? where did this come from) (use whatever terms make you happy and comfortable idc)

I never outright said that polymindence can’t be plural, in fact I have stated several times that’s up to the person using the label to decide.

Me being uncomfortable with being called plural or a system doesn’t mean I have a personal grudge (?????????)

The reason I don’t know as much about plurality as other things, is because I prefer to base my knowledge of reliable sources. There is, sadly, very little about plurality.

can polyminds be singlets? i'm still sort of confused between the difference of multipsyches and polyminds, but i think polymind fits more? except i don't really feel plural (or i'm misunderstanding what plural means). i do feel like one person/being who consists of two parts, a core self and then an offshoot who's very different, and i occasionally flip between them, but i'm usually just the offshoot sadly

Polymindence isn't inherently plural. It's a label that exists by itself.

I myself don't like using the term plural because it got forced on me so many times.

Whether you wish to call yourself plural or singlet is ultimately up to you, I don't really care.

Main difference is that polymindence functions off subpersonalities whilst multipsyche fully supports their psyches as unique individuals

Also, multipsyche is inherently pro-endo and anti-radqueer whilst polymindence does not have any set views

The term describes an experience, it’s something that can be experienced by anyone no matter how I feel about them

If you mean plural terms, I don't really know? Plurality really isn't my field

You can also play around with the word mind, but that's not "official" per say or anything (eg. we have the word mindset)

hi there !! 

i’ve been thinking about polymindence a bit and i kind of wanted to, not necessarily ask, but more, ramble about my own experiences if that’s okay ? 

ever since i was little i always daydreamed, and it got to a point where i used daydreaming to cope with so many good and bad things, and as i got older, i grew attached to the people in my head 

they sort of turned into my own family

i have (so many sdjfhsidfg) parents, siblings, friends, and people that genuinely care about me 

AND I LOOK LIKE A DOG !!! q(≧▽≦q) 

my paras (the term for daydream characters) don’t feel like paras, they feel like family to me because that’s what they become 

they feel so real to me, almost like, if i just reach forward they’ll be there and i could physically touch them, but i can’t because they aren’t 

their existence is so much more than maladaptive daydreaming

gwahh i have no idea where i'm going with this but yeppers :]
