“If you experienced dissociation, you’re a dissociative system” there are many disorders that cause dissociation that aren’t DID/OSDD. Are you claiming people with PTSD, DPDR, etc. are all systems? If not what’s your point here.
I became a polymind when I was 13 involuntary through trauma. Do you think I somehow got DID at 13? Also I’m currently in therapy with an actual professional, who I’ve explained my polymind experiences to, and he’s not concerned.
Also if you don’t want to finish arguments, don’t start them :3
y’all we fw polyminds! they are so fucking cool and i like how it is completely separate from did/osdd and they dont claim to be systems!
My page is a safe space for polyminds or those who do ifs (Internal family system, therapy thing done under super vision)!

New ideas for mind-forms! I'm not feeling too good as of now, so no usual format. Flags will be made once asked specifically, or when I'll feel better. Apologies!
Anyone can use these terms.
Mythling
A mind that is based off the mythical beings, cryptics, or anything alike. They might present themselves with the attributes which the mythical being is associated with, but don't have to.
◟★◞
Songling
A mind based on songs, albums, meanings of lyrics of a song, or anything alike. They might present themselves with the attributes or traits which the songs or lyrics are associated with, but don't have to.
◟★◞
Plantling
A mind based off a plant, whether it's one of a group of them! They might present themselves with the attributes which the plants or very concept of nature is associated with, but don't have to.
◟★◞
Dreamling
A mind based off a dream, or alternatively, a day-dream. They might present themselves with similarly to how the body looked in the dream/daydream, but don't have to.
If any of these exist already, inform me of that and I'll delete that part of the post.

i feel like if endos knew what Polyminds were literally none would exist. Also i feel the term polymind/their community festers less of a culture around denying trauma :/
I have mixed feelings on this
I definitely do LOVE the polymind community, and I think a lot of self-proclaimed endos are actually just polymind
But at the same time, I think we should encourage people to make terms like polymind, but with wider experiences!! Polymind is all about subpersonalities, but I think it's fair to assume that endos could have something else going on, and while I don't think it's alters they have, it's possible they don't have minds either, but a secret third thing.
Basically, I think people should mess around more with non-system plural/plural adjacent terms!! There's so much focus on systems, but that's not at all the only way to be plural, and I think a lot of people forget that, especially endos!
I'd love to see more terms similar to polymind get coined, and I really wanna hear all about those experiences when the terms are coined!! And ofc I'm always happy to hear more from polyminds :3

another big long post from nutty cause i love yapping and i loooove complaining (sorry guys)
covers tulpagenics, religious practice, erasure, and colonization so if any of those are triggering, feel free to scroll
check tags before responding if you choose to do so. specifying here that im all good with debate as long as it isnt based around personal experience and isnt spewing the same old talking points. tried my best to not be as aggressive as ive been in the past but like. im an aggressive protector. so just keep that in mind
ok onto the post :D
i think my big issue with tulpagenics isnt that its a “closed practice” (an argument i see often but idk enough about that branch of buddhism to determine if its actually a closed practice or not) but the fact that the version of tulpamancy they “practice” isnt an “adapted version” from its buddhist origins, its colonization and im being so serious
“tulpamancy” as “tulpagenics” claim it to be is religious/spiritual erasure in a very raw and undeniable form. that form has always been a colonizers version of tibetan buddhism. it completely ignores practically everything that made the original practice up to begin with in order to “adapt” it to white culture (aka COLONIZATION).
the whole reason tulpas were a part of the practice is lost on everyone who isnt a buddhist, including the europeans who initially adapted it into “tulpamancy”. if the “tulpa” isnt formed in the context of that religion, its history, and its spiritual beliefs guiding it, it is not a tulpa. you are playing an active part in the erasure of the original practice. you are playing an active part in the religious colonization of this practice.
western/european “tulpamancers” are not real tulpamancers because those versions of the practice have no cultural significance (obviously). they cherry picked which parts were good/normal/beneficial and which parts were considered weird/bad/useless. they stole terminology and changed ideology to make it easier for the white people who wanted to feel included. this is religious erasure that is a DIRECT result of colonization. and “tulpagenics” refuse to acknowledge any of this because theyre too excited to play system to care
even disregarding the above, i see so many similarities between them and the people who “convert” to judaism just so they can celebrate hannukah. or the people who become “pagan” just so they can burn sage and read tarot. i dont wanna say “entitled” because most of the tulpagens ive seen just dont seem to have that same sense of entitlement that those people do, but how they fulfill their need to belong comes off almost identically
anyway i strongly believe that americans/british people have no culture because their “culture” is built on violence, destruction, and colonization. they steal other identities and communities to feel like theyre a part of something and this is very well documented in the modern day. this whole “western tulpamancy”/“tulpagenic” thing really just supports these beliefs imo
theres nothing wrong with wanting community; humans are social creatures, ofc we want to feel connected with one another. but everyone - and especially people who are often online - really should be more mindful of whether their desire to be a part of certain communities comes from false perceptions (daydreams, stereotypes, literal colonization, etc) or reality
if you need a source, i advise you to look up “tulpamancy origins”. “tibetan diaspora”, and “alexandra david-néel” and just go through any of the provided links. if you understand colonization and erasure at all, youll know what to look for when analyzing them
non traumagenic endos/created plurals: look into polyminds. please.

WE WANNA SEE MORE POLYMINDS
There's too much hate around polyminds for no reason, and there's not enough actual polyminds yapping in their own tags
If you're polymind, PLEASE share your experiences more! Questioning polyminds, share your experiences more! Polymind allies, spread more positivity!
There's so much hate being spread around polymindence, drown it out with love and positivity, make our polymind friends feel safe in their own communities again!

Welcome to our "Polymind culture is" blog!
We had decided to make this blog because of our own experiences and the need to share them, as I believe other polyminded beings experience as well.
Anyone and everyone can submit asks, but all hate will be ignored.
About this blog
This blog is a safe space for polyminds to submit asks about how being a poly-mind affects their life. It can range from anything and everything, as long as you don't send anything nsfw or involving too much gore.
Rules
• Anti-polyminds, or people who believe Polyminds are faking DID or are systems in denial, DNI.
• Please begin your asks with "Polymind/Polymindence culture is." "Questioning polymind culture is." Or anything related
• You can also add additional information; "Polymind + BPD" culture Is, etc.
• Swearing is allowed. Slurs are not, with no exceptions.
• Please be patient with us, we have our own life, too.
• Have fun submitting!

Alright, hold up. Apparently, there was a term created this year that I hadn't seen.
Polymind?
So. Why?
What makes it different than median parts, fragments, daemons, and all that other jazz?
Is it just... a unique way to refer to these kind of parts that are not related to full separate headmates and alters?
Someone just didn't like the term plural and everything it encompasses?
Is it an IFS specific thing?
The wiki genuinely doesn't clear these questions up for us and there was a discord server, but it was anti endo which is WILD to me if this is something non CDD related.
Help please.

I dunno bro saying your polymind sounds like you are either A. Trying to fake having DID with extra steps which is frankly extremely fucked up or B. Trying to make yourself look special when you really ain't
I'm genuinely confused about A because like, polyminds repeatedly and constantly say "hey!! We're not systems, we are very different from people who have a serious disorder."
But to actually answer the question; anon did you do any research on either? DID is a serious dissociative disorder, alters are only one of the diagnostic criteria and people who are affected by it experience memory gaps, amnesia, identity confusion with some reporting suicidal idealization, hallucinations and such.
Polymindence is not a disorder, it is not a medical term, it is not in the DSM 5 criteria and is not a professional diagnosis. Polymindence has little effect on the person's life, if any.
The B just really proves a point written in a different post I've seen. I'm not trying to get extra attention or seem special, I'm just trying to share my experiences and find a community of people who have similar ones.
