Ok sorry for impromptu sys vent after we’ve been inactive for a bit but- our NormalCD fictive here. I’ve just got something to sigh about.

The fact that whenever I see someone interact with our posts/art of my source, if it isn’t someone we already know, the few times I’ve checked the blogs it’s wound up being people who post… really concerning and gross stuff… and as someone who already struggles with the stigma around my source and the connotations people give to my source, it just…Idk man it makes me feel dirty. It makes me feel gross… that not only will people ostracize me for my source’s OG creator being a gross person, but gross people will take my source as a symbol of their kind… I just. I feel so tainted. /📀

Obviously some weird people interacting with us on tumblr is far from the end of the world or anything, it just… makes the things I struggle with feel even worse. Makes me feel more alone idk /📀

so it turns out that Habit’s debut day was not actually the 21st of July 2024, she had been debuted before then during the weird period of time before Normal’s production was fully re-started. So I feel a little stupid now but whatever /silly

As a fellow NormalCD diehard I must ask- what motivated you to create this many versions of them?? Like don’t get me wrong I respect the FUCK out of the grind, but I genuinely must wonder what compelled you to make over 100 different AUs of a character that was already great.

also please make a master post with a very brief summary of each AU’s premise. It would be helpful

What is it with young fans of community-generated content and just putting everyone in a big house together?

Everyone’s heard of the Creepypasta Mansion, but when I was like 13 and first really getting into UTMV stuff I made up this place in the Omega Timeline called the AU House, which was a magical, non-euclidean structure where beings from all over the multiverse could stay as a home-away-from-home. Usually sanses. And that’s just where I would set all my roleplays and shit, I was just playing with them like a dollhouse. And I met other people who did the exact same thing, so-?

This never fully came to fruition in the EXE community, but I saw a lot of signs of it early on with the family dynamics usually depicted between the cast of the original mod, and maybe if a lot of controversies didn’t happen and the community were less volatile, maybe the “EXE mansion” or whatever would be a prominent concept amongst certain fans.

tomorrow is the first anniversary of not only this blog, but also of NormalCD’s shelving. Yeah that happened on the same day, got done setting this blog up and I check my dms and learn that my fav is retired, imagine how sad I was. But! This is also a testament to how loved of a character she is if she hasn’t faded into full obscurity yet!

I co-own a VRChat group called “Real NormalCD Fans”, we host chill, well-moderated instances from time to time and we’re planning to host one tomorrow to commemorate the things discussed above and hang out. If you have VRC and wanna join we’d be happy to have you as long as you’re chill and follow the rules.
