I know a lot of people will disagree that what they’re doing with Zoë makes sense but I just want to give my perspective as a SA victim: I see myself in Zoë’s current mental state so much.

She went through something absolutely horrible and all this time she’d been trying to get her life back and move on, and by doing so she’d been suppressing a lot of the trauma by putting it locked away. She goes to therapy, but in her daily life she didn’t deal with it for a long time. But now with the case finally being in court she’s being forced to confront all of it at once. Some of you (fortunately) will never understand what that’s like, how it feels to finally not be able to suppress it anymore and have to relive it in your mind over and over and over again, how suffocating it is, how much damage it can do to you and the people around you and the relationships you’ve built. This is something that she will have to live with for the rest of her life. She will never forget what she went through. And yes it does get easier with time but it’s a long, exhausting process to put yourself through.

I see what I went through during my own recovery and acceptance process in Zoë in a way that I didn’t see in any other Noora. This is important to some of us. Calling it “drama for the sake of drama” actually hurts because my life and the life of others who are in the same shoes as Zoë isn’t just manufactured drama for an audience. We actually have lived/are living this.

Look, I’m so sad for zoenne and for Senne, I really don’t want to see this affect Yasmina during her season, but Zoë’s character development and storyline is really important and true to a lot of us.
