another funny thing about having been forced to spend so much time with men growing up while clearly not being one of them: there is a special tone of incredulous panic that men reserve for when someone they feel should be on their side in the everyday politics of gender is failing to hold the line and giving the game away. it gets to be familiar. i can't believe we're still having to correct this obviously verifiably false claim ten years later, but this isn't true. the c in "cafab" and "camab" has always stood for coercive & was created by trans women. it actually predates "amab/afab" which came later after people started dropping the C. you can argue all you want about the C being redundant but it wasn't added by intersex activists -- trans women created the terms to describe our experiences, and intersex people were like "hey this feels like it should apply to us too" and the trans women who created the term agreed.

i think it should go without saying, but anybody who is desperately trying to redefine well-established & well-known trans history into divisive revisionism should be not taken at face value

whenever people are like “oh you think gazan using tumblr? realy?” as way to try and question legitimacy of fundraiser i feel insane because i swear this app popular amongst arab. like when i first join as much younger teenager/preteen and was in big fandom space like half of my mutual would be living in middle east and post in arabic. the lebanese and gulf arab girl have been carrying aesthetic photo blog on there back for year now. i swear i run into egyptian every 2.5 second on this website. i don’t think it unrealistic at all that a decent amount of people from gaza would be on tumblr or know of it as place they could join for fundraising purpose

i say this, as a white trans man to other white tme trans people: clinging to cis white womanhood is not going to save us.

what i mean by this is: many of us (and i include myself in this fully) have to unlearn this notion that we are always the most vulnerable people in the room, and that people, especially marginalized people, should trust us implicitly, because we couldn't hurt them even if we wanted to. this is just not true.

when we get angry at those in our community affected by transmisogyny, racism, antiblackness, etc. for wanting their own spaces, or not implicitly trusting us, we are feeding into systems of white supremacy and patriarchy. you have internalized the rules of an unfair society and you are trying to reproduce them.

i could say that this is going to be extremely harmful to us in the long run, and that is true, but the most important point here is that we are already causing harm to others.

stop calling trans women "terfs". stop brushing off racism as "infighting".

(voice of explaining to a child why you cant steal food out of your friends lunchbox) gay people often try heterosexual dating before during and after the process of realizing they are gay. one contributing factor being the constant doubt of "how can you KNOW youre exclusively gay unless youve given heterosexuality a fair shake"

most people do not start off knowing about bisexuality from birth. also, due to linear time, usually bi people will realize they are attracted to one binary gender before the other one. usually this first gender is "the one it is considered normal to be attracted to".

however as acceptance and knowledge of lgbt people increases, and the idea of exploring your sexuality during your formative years becomes a more normalized option, you will invariably get more (usually younger) people who id as gay first and Then discover they are bi. its equality dot png.

you will also get the other way around! as well as people realizing theyre not into anyone actually! but thats not included for comparison for whatever reason

oddly, these surveys also include "people feeling like they have to present more masc or fem to attract a partner" as a reason for The LGBT Community to start hashtag #DatingBeyondLabels (download our app increase our metrics). of course! the thing REALLY pressuring people to conform to heteronormative gender roles, was The Gays all along!
