I don't know what I'm doing, to be honest. I'm just trying to exist and make things interesting for me. Everything I talk about has some exceptions, I just don't want to add them. Find them yourself.

I was scrolling through Tubi, trying to entertain myself when I came across "Titanic 2". Sounds interesting, right? I thought that too. And then I was hit in the face with the worst movie I've ever seen. Terrible CGI, terrible writing, not one good thing in that movie except that guy who pushed those girls to get to the elevator. He's so me
If anyone cares to read this, I HATE Shane Van Dyke. From what I know, he played three parts in this movie. Director, writer, actor. And he couldn't put a bit of effort into any role. It was basically just an OC insert, paired with the worst lines known to man and an overused trope. 28th of August is his birthday, but that day, for me, will be a reminder of what I wasted an hour of my life on. Every year from now on, I'll spend that day seething, imagining everything else the money spent on making that foul excuse of a movie could've gone to. I'm not even interested in watching any of his other movies, it's already ruined for me. If I ever see another movie of his come out in cinemas, I'll burn the entire building down.
I feel like I've finally found the punishment I'd give my worst enemies. Forcing them to sit down and watch that slop would have them in tears, begging me to end their life, to make their suffering stop, to gouge out their eyes and make them forget everything.
But anyway, that's just my opinion. I'd recommend you watch it and form your own.

I only buy new clothes on occasion, whether it's because I can't find what I need at the local thrifts. Anyway, while on my thrifts recently, I've been finding FAST FASHION, MY BIGGEST FEAT HAS CONE TRUE. It's flooding the floors and ruining thrifts.
At my local Vinnie's, most clothes I've sorted through were... Disappointing, to say the least. They were mainly micro trends or clothes that were obviously brought by a 30 year old mum off Temu. Most of which were probably made for landfill.
I'm not gonna sit here and say that I don't understand why people would buy fast fashion, and I'm gonna try not shame people for it. It's hard to afford many things these days. Why not buy your dream wardrobe when there's brands shoving it in your face constantly, and at such a low price?
My problem here is the mass amounts sent to thrifts, the quality when it's donated, and the price it's set at (which I'll probably talk about some other day).
Even in what some would consider a small rural town, fast fashion has flooded our thrifts. Low quality, mass produced, already worn out as it wasn't made to last. AI art too. Everywhere. And they're set to about 15-20 dollars. Clothes that are very clearly low quality. At that price. What about clothes that are high quality, you might ask? I found a nice top, not the best quality, but it was set at 40 dollars. The place where many people with no other choice to go is selling clothes at unaffordable prices. If people could pay even 20 dollars for clothes, they wouldn't be at the thrift store.
(I don't want to keep typing, so I'll bring this to an end, I know you probably won't read all of it anyway)
Fortunately, there are still certain thrifts that do sell clothes and other items at a somewhat affordable price. I actually got some high quality boots at my local one (which is currently closed due to renovations :C). If you look hard enough, there will be some nice clothes, but they're hidden in the mountains of fast fashion overwhelming the thrifts. I feel like people need to understand that you don't have to donate EVERYTHING, just what you think will be able to find a new home, or help someone. Anyway, if you want to tell me your thoughts, I probably won't listen. But do it anyway, I'm not gonna stop you. No one can.

"I told you once that I was searching for the nature of evil. I think I've come close to defining it: a lack of empathy. It's the one characteristic that connects all the defendants. A genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow man. Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy." -G. M Gilbert (I think)
I've seen videos on Tiktok talking abt rape and such things, and in the comments are these teenage boys "This sht pmo", "and the world kept spinning", "Am I the only one that doesn't believe it when girls say this happens??", "Sybua" (or whatever the fuck it is).
This genuinely scares me, seeing the next generation of men so out of touch, it's like we went back one hundred years. There's also these videos about women statues getting touched in inappropriate places, and there's "men"/ boys in the comments talking about how it's done with some male statues, so it doesn't matter. It shouldn't be done to any statue.
I've seen videos talking about politics, "men" and boys in the comments leaning far right.
We need to educate people better, we need empathy. There's so many things wrong with this world, and we're moving backwards. Now, more than ever, we need people advocating for rights. Not just for women. For everyone that doesn't have any. We can't let the world go to shit again. There's more people agreeing with Hitler too, becoming Neo-Nazis.
When did we normalise this sort of behaviour?

Am I the only one who has a problem with the alternative community these days? Not the ACTUAL community, but the people under diy videos that are trying to remind people that alternative is DIY or die. It's always "Or just let people wear whatever?", "I could buy it cheaper on Temu/Shein", or "But I can't draw/ can't sew/ can't paint/ can't get my hands on those materials"
1. DIY is one of the biggest part of most of the alternative subcultures, if not all. Don't support fast fashion. It's okay if you thrift it, but if you buy it directly and defend it, may as well just write 'I'm a poser' on your forehead. 'Oh, but the thrifts near me-" shut up. I live in a rural town in Australia. I can still find shirts, pants, shoes, jackets that I can DIY to fit my style. It's not that hard.
Gonna skip the second reason because if you need me to tell you why you shouldn't support a large fast fashion company that's known for treating their workers like shit and making their shit in sweat shops, you should learn about the alternative subcultures, their values and basic human morals.
3. Learn. You're not gonna get it right away, that's why you need to LEARN. I still don't know how to sew, but it's just shoving thread through a needle and sticking it through some fabric. There are tutorials on YouTube teaching you. "I tried, but it didn't work" so try again. You don't need artistic skill. It doesn't have to be perfect, it's not supposed to.
I don't understand how so many people will call themselves 'alternative' or align themselves with a subculture but they completely ignore the values and whole meaning behind it. These are more than a style, they're supposed to be a political movement. You don't even have to look the part, you just have to make it clear where you stand. Don't support the system you're supposed to be rejecting and standing against, loser.
