if you're new to tumblr and don't know what reblogs do, I'll clarify under the cut!

Reblogs are basically what upvotes are on Reddit! A way to spread that post with more people.

Reblogs are essential to Tumblr as a culture, because without it all those posts you could really like never really get around!

In fact, in a poll (That I also participated in) it was proven that reblogs are important. The question was this; "how did you see this poll?" The three options below it being "someone I followed reblogged it", "it was on my dash" and "I found it from your blog".

"Someone I followed reblogged it" won by a LANDSLIDE. It wasnt even an argument at that point, REBLOGS ARE ESSENTIAL TO TUMBLR AS A WHOLE!

Likes are basically just there to put stuff in a single "likes" folder for you- they don't do anything for the "algorithm" over here.
