he can't help but cast a glance from the corner of his eyes towards husk's slouched demeanor, all aggression & grouchiness. something in his heart tugs him towards the cat demon -- he can't place it, not really, but it's strong & it winces in his chest. he hated how much he found himself giving a shit. an afterlife in hell wasn't about caring. it shouldn't be, not if you wanted to protect what little pride you still had left.

if someone were to accuse angel of having pushed out his chest just a tad more, or if they were to point out the way his back arched to better show off his assets at the demon's praise, he would neither confirm nor deny. a tongue darts out of the corner of his mouth, taking a languid flick over his lower lip. " flattery will get ya' everywhere, mister. well -- that, an' the right amount a' cash, of course. keep this up, though, an' i might have ta' give you a freebie. on the house. one favor fer another. that is, if this whole future tellin' business ain't complete bullshit. " angel couldn't fight back his smile & didn't try to. already, he could tell how different this man was compared to the other demons that roamed the streets of hell, sniveling & cruel & ready to snatch up any and everything that they believed could fit in the palm of their hands, easy enough to squish between their fingers.

not to say that angel was a good judge of character -- he learned his lesson the day he signed a deal with an overlord on the basis that he had angel's best interest at heart. still, as much as he writhes & winces at the thought, he doesn't believe he would take back his choice. the lighter in his pocket, pink with a golden 'V' emblazoned on both sides, nearly hums in his pocket like a reminder. his lips purse against his teeth, but he keeps his smile held firmly in place. he looks around the space & takes no time in making himself comfortable, claiming a seat for himself and crossing one long leg over the other. he regards the other through thick lashes.

" damn, lookit you, all southern hospitality an' generosity. ain't many guys who wanna chat first an' have fun later. " he drums his fingers on his knee. " well. whaddya wanna know ? bet there ain't nothin' i could tell ya' that you can't read or watch online. " that wasn't true & angel knew it, but hiding behind a facade always felt much safer than true vulnerability. " an' don't leave me hangin'. tell me 'bout you, mister seer. what's it like ? seein' people's futures an' shit ? ever take a peak at your own ? " his hands fish around to find his cigarettes, but he gives himself pause & looks at the demon, almost sheepishly.

He never peaked at his own future. It was one of his ironclad rules. He wanted to be just as surprised as everyone else. Most would think that he would want to be aware of his future at times but, worrying about what is about to happen next can make you turn into something awful. He has seen what has happened to other Seers first hand that do that.. 

Yet even with his precautions in place to prevent him from seeing his future. He could sometimes feel waves coming. Waves of energy...like big events were right around the corner. This happened when Angel was coming close to him. He could feel NEXUS of fate that surrounded Angel. He was a part of the hotel after and that place was....He pushed it from his mind. 

He offered nothing but his smile as Angel came upon him. "Well that is the truth...Angel. I heard quite a bit about you myself. The pictures and ads don't do you justice darlin'." He spoke softly in that thick southern speaking tone. 

"I am assuming....you like to know ya future then." The words coming out of his mouth were heavy on his soul. "The rumors are sadly true." He chuckled. "I am Seer you see. I come from a long line of them. My Grandfather was one. How about we chat first and get to know each other before anything else." @spidrboots
