Spinel is the textbook definition of touch-starved

Early on in your relationship, it always takes her a few moments to buffer and process what’s happening, but when it clicks she’s probably tearing up a little bit

No matter how long you’ve been together, she’ll still tear up if you surprise her from behind because she can’t believe you love her enough to initiate affection at random like that

She thinks it’s adorable how giggly and blushy you get when she’s peppering you with kisses, but when the tables are turned and she’s the recipient she’s worse than you are. She snorts when she laughs, she hides her face, she probably squeaks your name as a means to beg for mercy

She loves kissing your lips, so you never even have to ask. If you lean closer for a kiss, she’ll meet you halfway.

There’s about a 45% chance she’ll poof if you ever kissed her right on her gem, because it’s such a sensitive spot and kisses feel so nice and she’s too flustered to think straight, let alone focusing on projecting her form

Her limbs turn into absolute noodles when you play with her hair. If she starts on the couch with you, there’s a good chance she’ll be a literal puddle on the floor in about ten minutes time.

She’ll usually take her own ponytails out if you offer to play with her hair, but she loves it when you ask to play with her hair by taking her bows out yourself.

You have to be really sneaky with tickle attacks, because if she catches you she will turn it around on you by pinning you down to the ground/couch/bed

But if she doesn’t, you’ll have to pin her down, because she squirms. Helps to pepper her with kisses to pacify her a bit.

Sometimes she may even pretend she doesn’t see you coming because she secretly likes it when you pin her down like that. Not that she’d ever tell you that.

She’s puddy in your arms when you cuddle her. Use that to your advantage.

Drabble 1: A Night In

Contains: Cuddling, Soft Teasing, Mild Suggestive Content

The soft pitter-patter of rain hitting the windows droned in the background, just loud enough to interrupt the sounds and jabbering of the television currently on. The TV channels were seemingly on loop, with no content to really capture anyone's attention. Infomercials and advertisements filled the voids between each show, doing nothing to draw the eye of the two resident's currently home. Rather the two were cuddling close to one another on the couch, blankets and pillows tossed about and forgotten by this point.

Spinel's arms wrapped around (Y/n)'s midsection for the hundredth time, pulling you up atop her. She purred as your body laid flush against hers, not minding any of the pressure of it. After all, you were her one and only - she only had her eyes (and attention) set on you. "Comfy, (Y/n)?" Her voice is softer than usual, the accent heavy on her tongue as she struggled to stay awake. After all, the atmosphere was perfect for a bit of shuteye - and she was more than willing to indulge in some dreams with you. 

Though, it seemed like you were planning something far from the comforts of dreamland. In response to her question, your body shifted atop her own as lazy hands traveled downwards. "Mmm, well you can say so.." Your voice drawls out in boredom, hands tracing along Spinel's shoulders and idly circling the outline of where her gemstone laid. The light of the TV cast sharp shadows along the precious stone, illuminating just a few of the many facets of the perfectly cut heart. As your fingers strayed too close, Spinel's tired eyes would widen at the feeling. "Woah, d-dollface, yer gettin' quite touchy-" She would protest, though trying to mask how serious it was actually affecting her. Though, her face betrayed her as the blush along her cheeks darkened the pink of her skin.

"Awwwwh," (Y/n) is quick to chuckle at her reactions, leaning down to the gem while making sure to keep her eyes locked with the blushing Spinel, "Can't take a few touches and kisses Spinsy?" The nickname sends the gem beneath you in a flustered frenzy, her body shivering in the moment. It wasn't long before your lips met the cool surface of her gem, however, which in turn left her squirming and gasping at the touch. 

Your lips barely grazed the stone, but it was enough to send small trembles racing through her muscles. She was basically at your mercy for each kiss, unable to pull away from your body straddling hers. The kisses grew longer and steadier, with each one drawing out all sorts of responses from Spinel. At times she would just whine at the feeling, at others she would grip your shoulders while biting her bottom lip. There were even times she would pant out your name, soft hearts dancing in the pupils of her eyes.

It was only when you relented that she was able to breathe again, the pink gem now a dark magenta by your antics. Even so, she was at a loss for words and quite literally melting at what she had just experienced. You were always so easy to fluster, but when the tides had turned - Spinel could only feel some pride in how assertive you could be.

The characters were in character, it was set at a good pace, the grammar was on point, and it was pleasant to read. I really liked it and I'm sure most of us did. okay so spinel stayed on earth instead of going with the diamonds in this

- You were at Funland alone cause like

- Who needs friends? You’re an independent woman.

- And you decided that you wanted to go on the roller coaster

- So you go into the single rider line

- Cause why wait in the longer line if you can just wait for 10 minutes?

- Since there was nothing else to do while waiting, you tried to see who you might be placed next to

- After a few moments, you determined that you would sit next to that kid that everyone knew, Steven, or one of his gem friends

- You had never talked to them, but you recognized Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl

-But there was one gem, a pink one, that you had never seen before

- Maybe she was one of his new friends?

- You remembered the chaos that had gone down a short while ago, so maybe that was the reason she was here?

- Anyway, you instantly fell for this gem

- She was just so cute?? Who wouldn’t fall for her??

- After waiting a few minutes, you were at the front of your line, and they were at the front of the regular line

- They were placed in the rows in which they were to be seated, and at that moment you realized that you would be seated next to the cute pink gem

- And your heartbeat shot through the roof

- You were called up by the employee putting everyone in their rows to stand next to her

- As you were approaching, you overheard Steven asking, “Are you sure that you’re okay, sitting next to a stranger?”

- “Yeah, I’m sure,” the gem replied, sneaking you a quick glance.

- It seemed like she was trying to keep her voice low, as if she didn’t want you to hear??

- But as you arrived next to her in the boarding area, she seemed to tense up a little bit??

- Once you were standing next to her, Steven, who was standing next to Amethyst, smiled and you and introduced himself.

- “Hi! My name’s Steven! And this is Spinel!” He gestured to the cute gem, who seemed almost as flustered as you were.

- He introduced the rest of his gem friends as well.

- You took your turn to introduce yourself next.

- “I’m Y/N. It’s nice to meet you all!”

- By this time, the roller coaster train had arrived at the boarding area

- You sat down next to Spinel, who was... blushing???

- You realized that if you weren’t gonna talk, nobody was, so you decided to strike up a conversation while the train was climbing the first hill.

- “There’s a camera that takes a picture at the bottom of this drop. You wanna pose with me?” You asked her.

- She seemed startled for a moment, then answered, “Sure... but, ah, what should I do?”

- You whispered in her ear, and she nodded, loving your idea.

- Looking at the on-ride photo, Steven and Amethyst found that you and Spinel had photobombed their picture with bunny ears over each of their heads.

- Everyone had a good laugh, and you were invited into their group for the rest of the day.

- Of course, you accepted, and you spent the rest of the day doing funland rides with Spinel.
