Imagines he is friend with Cecelia as well, seeing as they are close in age and imagine D6/D8 are halfway like "sister Districts" with being some of the most urban in Panem.

she also worked with the D6 tribute in her own game so have small soft spot for them and think she was happy of the remaining tributes in the 60th Games it was Cassius who won

this time must have been a golden age of victors the capitol kept getting one favorite darlings after another ....and then titus games happend

( ik that conically we don't know when did titus games take place but i kinda accepted @kald-dal-art take that it was the 66th games )

also yes i did give cashmere channel and the barbie ponytail it's technically her first year as a victor so she is still getting styled by the capitol and haven't yet got to be the alt icon she will become later

anyway i like to imagine that they are a friend group and get up to some shenanigans together ( or more accurately enobaria drag them into shenanigans because outside of her capital persona she is an absolute grimlen )

i have the exact same thoughts and i fully believe that being a career is viewed differently between 1 and 2 and 4 as their cultures are entirely different as well

district 1 priorities charms and acknowledges how the games are entertainment first and a death game second . they are kinda seen as all bark and no bite and are looked down upon within districts 2 and 4

district 2 priorities brutality and strategy due to their military life style and they view the games as a way to proudly serve their country and district and are seen as the most scary and toughest tributes

district 4 prioritizes percussion and survival skills and has natural charms to them that they are confident in and they see volunteering as a way to serve their community but they aren't as organized as 2

Districts 1, 2, and 4 are Career districts. However, think how they interpret the culture of being Careers might be vastly different. (Although while, yes, there are similarities, too)

I don't think Brutus was the same kind of Career that Gloss was or that Gloss was the same type of Career that a victor from 4 was.

I think there might be more of an emphasis on strict training in D2 as they are raised like warriors, whereas D4 might be more trained in the resourceful and using tridents within their day-to-day activities versus having facilities and academics. D1 could also have a very different idea on how the volunteering system works.

It is possible that 4 doesn't have the same expectations around volunteering at 18 as 2 does. District 2 (and 1, I think) is implied in the novels to have their tributes train until 18 (which makes sense, the older, the more experienced). For example; Finnick. He was only 14 and if D4 had the exact same Career culture as 2, why wasn't there an older tribute to volunteer in his place? Yes, Finnick could have volunteered himself, but that was never mentioned so it is unknown. (I do see D4 tributes as Careers overall, but that their way of going about it is different)

The assumption that every Career district works the same and that every single one of their tributes will be trained is a bit of a blanket statement that may not be true. The three are vastly different in terms of what we see from the books.

All their tributes have basic advantages (being more well-fed, from districts where imports make them popular with the Capitol) over the others because of where they are born and I think that is what makes them Career districts more than anything else. More than this assumption they all work in the exact way the others do.

i have a concept of a tribute who uses mind games and psychological tricks to survive the games . like spreading discourse within alliances , analyzing the heck out of the rest of the tributes and figuring out their weak spots and if they are cornered in a fight they use these weak spots to get away like bringing up an insecurity or how they would be viewed by others and doing things to misdirect the other tributes while staying out of sight

imagine that they might get called " the invisible game maker " due to this strategy

the real challenge for me is coming up with a backstory on how they developed these traits as they are things that psychologists and detectives develop neither of which are in the districts 🫠

Some of my more unpopular/darker/'Beeress aren't angels' headcanons:

Wiress would've voted 'yes' if she were the only survivor of the two. She didn't share Beetee's compunctions concerning anti-Capitol violence at all.

In a scenario where they both survive, the likelihood is that they both vote 'yes' because Beetee is less guilt-driven and war-weary and in general more given to agreeing with Wiress' opinions.

Beetee is not a nice guy to many of the Victors. Between the machismo he encountered in his first years as a Victor, how Wiress is treated, and how others feel entitled to treat him as a machine, he ran out of patience a long time ago. Add in his Games-given image and he isn't seen as approachable either. Wiress is almost a non-person around other Victors. They don't really notice her, a significant number don't respect her and see her win as a cheat/coward. She's used to it to the point of preferring it, at least she gets left alone. She isn't afraid of them. However, they both share a certain camaraderie with the Twos.

They're both confident in their intellectual capabilities to the point of snobbery.

Wiress is a particular target of Johanna's ire due to having been bought together by a client at one point. It doesn't matter what actually happened or that she had as much choice as the younger Victor, she turned into a walking trigger.

Beetee was involved in weapons development for the Capitol during his first years as a Victor. He's a smart man, he knew what the schematics were for. He became an informant for one of Three's rebel groups. He also continued to build the weapons.

Wiress has a tendency to disappear when overwhelmed by an argument; upping and leaving not just the room but the building to hide herself away somewhere until she feels able to bear people again. Beetee worries himself sick every time, and she knows this. She still does it.

Beetee represses things until he can't. It's all rooted in having struggled with his emotions as a kid; a few years before his reaping he ended up in a fight where he beat another boy terribly and he's never quite gotten past the way his parents looked at him that day. Or the way they didn't look at him after his Games.

They aren't ashamed to be Victors. They are what they were forced to be, and all things considered they were humane. This is what they tell themselves. Still, Wiress holds knives too tightly, Beetee has an urge to touch electric fences.

Beetee drinks to excess during long stays in the Capitol. He can't handle alcohol well and due to vomiting always loses weight by the time he returns home. Wiress smokes, has since she was fifteen.
