[ Text: Alice ]  Don't call him my pet aloud, he'll get even more angry. [ Text: Alice ]  He's not really a pet, he just follows me around.  He's a friend.  Who lives with me.  And is generally obnoxious.  And if he were alive, we would hate each other.  But he's not, and since I'm one of the few people he can talk to, we tolerate each other.  It's like that with a lot of ghosts.  Aidan is just the one that's really stuck around.

It started out as an experiment to see just what ghosts were capable of, but every time Syd used the word "experimenting" in conjunction with Aidan, people took it the wrong way, and she was tired of being asked how it "worked" between them.

Irritating, yes. Derisive, not so much. Perhaps he’d taken things too far. But, then again, that was what this encounter was for, no?
