I have this curse (autism) that makes me create crossover AUs of things I like.

This also sorta marks the return of my Human Ink design! But… cookie 😅

And yes, “Rainbow Chip Cookie”’s eyecings do still change colour and pupil shape to match his emotions :3

I think Fresh is a pretty cool character! The way he toes the line between joke character and serious is handled pretty well IMO. Very complex guy (genderless parasite?) deserving of his popularity. Also joins Ink in this fandom’s AroAce icons ✨🧡💛🤍🩵💙

As for Splattertale >:3

He DOES exist! Very much so!

He’s a side character who doesn’t really play a huge role in the main plot but is still there and is present to a degree in Splatter’s life.

Fresh acts as a babysitter for Splatter whenever the Star Sanses, Ink’s Dads, AND Cross are all unavailable. Don’t worry he plays nice with her (she’s not a very suitable host, and if he hurts her then his friendship with Ink would be in jeopardy. Being friends with the Protector kinda grants you more chances of survival). Splatter just sees him as a bit weird.

He gave her replicas of his sunglasses when she was a baby (does not know how to give small children gifts). The letters can’t change on the replicas.

Anyways, some silly tidbits about this piece

The different papers don’t represent AUs, but fanart and fanfic that’s been produced by the fandom! The very thing that keeps Ink going!

I snuck in a couple subtle references to a few Ink-centric fics that I hear are pretty good 👀. Look for the initials

There’s a couple classic UT references in here as well, golden flower, save star (behind the text) and a doodle of the human and monster from the intro cutscene!

Also you can probably notice the silly cameo of Acrylic from my friend’s AU, Hexverse!

The final paper Ink is holding, the rainbow heart doodle, sorta represents the idea that art, creativity, the fandom itself is their “soul”, and also it signifies the love we’ve given to this super cool character! <3

I actually do have some designs for AU Splatters I have yet to showcase (mainly for… spoiler reasons)! Oceantale might not be a bad choice to add to the roster 👀

My first idea when thinking about an oceantale Splatter is some kind of mermaid, or at the very least replacing her furry mammalian features with aquatic ones. Though that might be too basic and obvious😅

What’s the Splattertale AU about?

aaaaa I have a post in the works about that actually (as certain people who follow the blog know)

Basically the TLDR is it’s a story about Ink adopting an OC I made named Splatter (and them being a good father/daughter duo alongside the other two Star Sanses). It’s not an individual AU it’s just the name of the story

Breaking all UTMV naming conventions, I know. If it’s any consolation I refer to the multiverse the story takes place in as the “Splatterverse”

It was all a complete coincidence!

I hadn’t even heard of MHA when I first made Splatter in like.. 2016, back when I’m pretty sure Eri didn’t exist yet in the series either.

But you can bet that when I first saw Eri, I went “HEY WAIT A SECOND-“

Though, I imagine if the two kiddos met, that they’d be best friends <3
