CG World have kindly posted an English-language translation of their recent interview with GANGSTA. mangaka, Kohske, regarding how the new 3D model implementation in Clip Studio Paint has assisted in her illustration process after she struggled to work subsequent to vision loss in one eye (amongst other things) due to SLE.

Obviously I think this is interesting because I think Kohske is a wonderful talent and knowing this tool may "make drawing fun again" for her makes my heart happy. But it's also just a good piece to read if you're interested in the intersection of disability, technology, and art (as in, you don't need to be familiar with Kohske's work to appreciate the subject being covered here).

OH YES, AND:

As Kohske herself noted on Twitter, this interview and her increased comfort with drawing thanks to the 3D model tool does not mean she can bounce back to working as she did before. Please do not harass her about when her serialised works will return and kindly let her continue working at her own pace.

Basic Respect for Cane Users

Pic 2: Not all cane users are: physically weak, slow, elderly. Some cane users can: run, lift heavy things, ride bikes, skateboards, etc. Cane users are not all the same.

Pic 3: Do: move out of the way for someone using a cane, give your seat to a cane user on public transport, offer to carry something for your friend or co worker with a cane, ask cane users what their access needs are, treat cane users with respect. Remember that not everyone with a physical disability uses a mobility aid.

Pic 4: DON’T: touch cane users without their explicit permission, make assumptions about whether someone 'really’ needs their cane, give unwanted advice about someones disability, make a cane user feel bad or like they’re an embarassment. Remember: people might not use their cane full-time, you can’t know if someone is faking.

My limited edition copy of Papa to Oyaji no Uchi Gohan #4 by Toyota Yuu with the first drama CD for the series arrived today! PapaOya doesn’t have much content on Tumblr yet so here’s the drama for those who may be interested~

The CD features an original drama segment in which Airi wants to live in a house made of sweets after she and Seiichirou read Hansel & Gretel in school. Sengoku dismisses the idea, but after discussing it with Harumi and overhearing Airi sleep-talking about it that night (during a dream segment in which she and Seiichirou meet two wizards (Harumi & Sengoku) living in a house of candy), the four end up making a normal gingerbread house together the next day.
