I’m still thinking about this, so here is Kanej on Inej’s bike.

Okay okay so Inej driving headcanons.

She didnt know how to drive when she joined the crows. Heleen hardly wanted to give the girls the means to escape.

When she joined the crows she took her learners test even thought she knew she wouldnt be able to afford a car. Driving meant freedom, and that meant a lot to her.

When Kaz found our she has her learners he offered to teach her how to drive. He was barely on his full and technically couldn't legally teach her, but neither of them cared.

Besides her driving would be useful for work. That was his excuse anyway.

Inej proved to be an excellent driver, and Kaz was a surprisingly patient teacher.

Inej got her restricted as soon as she could. She didnt like the chunkiness of the "work" car Kaz lent her, but she loved driving. She likes to go out at night and just drive and know that if she wanted to she could leave and never return. But shed always come back.

The Dregs deal in a lot of stolen vehicles, and one day Inej was helping them transport and a motorcycle and immedietly fell in love.

She didnt keep that one, but Kaz had noticed the way she looked at it.

The next day he asked her to drive him to a second hand motorcycle shop. When they got there he told her to pick one and tossed her the keys. His spy needed a quick means of escape, but unlike the various "work cars" he would let her borrow, this one would be hers to keep.

She took her motorcycle license test and learnt how to ride. She absolutely adored it and named the bike "The Wraith."

She didnt tell Kaz, but she had a mechanic add a holder for his cane to the side, for if he ever wanted a ride. She had complicated feeling about the idea of a man on the back of her bike embracing her, but it was different if it was kaz and she knew he'd understand if she ever said no. Besides she knew he had his own complicated relationship with touch.

She didnt tell him, but he noticed the next time he saw her on the motorbike and asked. She blushed and admitted she'd gotten it for him.

She started giving him rides sometimes. They always wore too much to every risk their skin touching and they started to think up any excuse to ride together.

Inej is also the only person Kaz lets drive his car.
