Chapter 2 of my 2025 spop big bang fic "The War Is Over" is up now! It continues to focus on Adora's healing process from her trauma (at this point she's still just figuring stuff out). In this chapter she tries therapy with mixed results.

Because my brain is goo, I completely forgot I had this art of Glimbow sharing a bonding moment while live on DT's show Troubled Nights I got from @lemony-bunny a while ago. It's from the most recent scene in my Musician AU: It's Not Me, It's You. 

The artist was concerned there'd be backlash if people couldn't tell that Glimmer and Bow were POC with the TV lighting so I promised I would also post the version with no lighting so there was no confusion so here that is:

Story Summary:

It was a sea of crimson. Behind her, footprints embedded into the dunes, the trail of it silent. Small. She was a slip of a thing, swallowed by her ragged cloak as she walked. The wind whispered. Sunlight washed over the earth, seeped into it, bled between the grains until it bore down upon her, this tiny thing that moved inconsequentially among the sand. “Report, Force Captain.” Catra descends upon a desert planet with naught but a backpack and a mission designation. As far as she knows - her every step a mote of drudgery among a vast landscape of desolate heat, her every breath drawn rattling with the dust of a dead world – she is the only soul around. Save, of course, for the clipped chatter coming from her earpiece. If nothing else, her operator’s mundane prattle would help her stay sane.

AHHHHH I'm so excited to finally share my piece for @snarkyassholeenthusiast's The North Wind Last Night - her awesome Titanic AU for the @spopbigbang

My friend has been working super hard on this fic, and getting to collaborate both as her artist and beta reader has been an absolute blast.

When we were thinking of scenes to illustrate, this one, where Catra is guiding Adora through a breathing exercise was the easiest pick. Adora's inner monologue throughout, Catra guiding Adora's hand to her chest, Adora's whirlwind of emotions... GAH it's just top notch. Go read it! It's a blast!

This should have gone up yesterday but I'm glad I got delayed because the prompt for today in the SPOP 2025 Big Bang is We're Going to Win in the End and this is a fic about Catra and Adora ten years later at the next princess prom. Because yes, they did win in the end and they get to live their lives and be happy about it!

Also, in this little endeavor for @spopbigbang, I got to work with the great @dreadraws28 and she created this fantastic art piece to go with it (click on pic to go her Tumblr)!

Thank you again for the great art! I love it and I hope you all do as well. Now, how about that fic?

"Is this how you imagined it?"

Adora could here those words in her head as she looked over the floor of the All-Princess Ball. Was it how she imagined it? Adora had told her about Prime and how she'd had what he'd called a beautiful wish and she'd seen her friends together and happy and she'd Catra reaching a hand out for her.

Was it how she imagined it? When she'd been dying. When she'd thought she'd failed and the world, the universe in fact, would end in fire and the last thing she'd hear would be Prime's smug voice.

Was it how she imagined it? When she'd finally heard Catra say she loved her, that she wanted her to stay, and Adora had looked at her as she realized just what her feelings for Catra had meant.

She'd imagined part of it correctly. Scorpia was hosting the All-Princess Ball, in the renovated throne room of the Fright Zone, and the murals were stunning, the place was packed wall to wall, and the band playing was beautiful. However, she hadn't imagined that part. She'd imagined Catra reaching out to her, she'd imagined Bow and Glimmer together and happy.

She'd got that correct too. Earlier in the day, after a week of Adora being obsessive about preparing, she'd finally put on the clothes she'd picked out. The clothes hadn't been correct from her wish, she hadn't felt right putting a dress on, but she'd put on a beautifully tailored suit of white and gold that the Bright Moon tailor had worked hard on.

She hadn't been correct on something else either.

Summary:

Found near the Whispering Woods by Razz, Adora grew up near Bright Moon. She dreamed of one day being a knight for the kingdom's army but until she is old enough to start her training, she spends her days exploring the woods with Catra, Glimmer, and Bow.

One day, her and Catra discover an ancient castle hidden deep inside the woods. Whilst exploring the strange palace, Adora gets sealed inside a strange room. She awakens seven years later to find a world vastly different from the one she grew up in.

Catra is now missing, with no one having seen in after she left the castle to get Adora help. The world is at war. The once strong kingdom of Bright Moon in shambles. Adora sets out on a journey to find Catra, stop the war, and restore Etheria to how it was before. And during all this, a strange-masked warrior doing Prime's bidding has been spotted all throughout Etheria.

(Or an Ocarina of Time inspired AU. We have a seven-year time skip, a mysterious warrior, and the guilt of not being around for the last seven years! Don't worry, you don't need to know anything about Ocarina of Time or the Legend of Zelda series to read! This fic is just inspired by some elements of it!)

When I saw your eyes though… they’re a perfect mix of your dads’…” Netossa smiled, gently cupping Catra’s cheek, and making the brunette blush lightly, “And your dads loved you more than you could ever imagine. They did everything they could to protect and love you. All they ever wanted was for you to be happy.”

“I…” A frown formed as Catra looked to the floor. Her ears fell flat against the side of her head, “I failed them… I did so many bad things, hurt so many people…”

“Honey, you were manipulated by the Horde, you were a product of the environment you were raised in; you didn’t know any better.”

“Adora tried… she tried so many times to get me to leave, I-I thought she gave up on me after the portal…”

“She never gave up on you, Catra, and neither did I. And I’m going to speak on your behalf at the trial. I won’t let you be unfairly treated or tried without what really happened to you being out there.”

Participating in @spopbigbang for the second time and illustrating Iudicium et Rationem. This year I've been working with two amazing, talented persons: @irc-d-x-ao3 and @isleoflesbosresident.

Judge Hordak pacing in his study. Unfortunately I didn't have time for more elaborate coloring.

The piece has been cropped from a full-body sketch. I might post the entire piece sometime later with a few fixes. There's a perspective issue which I noticed a notch before the deadline.

Meet Me Halfway

After the portal was activated, Scorpia was ordered to send Entrapta to Beast Island but she just couldn't do it. Instead she gave Entrapta to the Princess Alliance and they escaped. Back in the Fright Zone, Catra tells Hordak that Entrapta betrayed them little knowing that the Tech Princesses is actually at Brightmoon.

When Entrapta wakes up she has a lot of explaining to do, friendships to create and reforge and decisions to make.

In the end Hordak has only one thing on his mind, what will happen when he meets his former lab partner on the battle field?

This fic generally follows season 4 but with a few twists from an Entraptacentric viewpoint.
