finally finished this piece :3 They're literally married and in love and its fine everything is fine

i just think that after breaking her curse and realizing that her mom wasn't crazy, alice would lean into her culture a bit more (since i'm still adamant that her arc was an allegory for the first gen kid experience TM) so i think Alice would wear a qipao, or at least something red on her wedding day. Jen on the other hand, I think, would want to wear something that breaks away from tradition, so not something fully white and not a dress, but something elegant and empowering all the same :3

March! I tried to be a little less rigid, no lasso/rectangle selection tool, no sketch! just paint and vibes. I'm still struggling with curved surfaces but I think my values are getting there. next month...color!

12 months of still lives

I haven't done still lives since college and I'm super out of practice so I'm forcing myself to do (at least) one a month. My goal is to get away from realism and into stylization with realistic shading.

here's January. I didn't even really finish it. It was way too many shapes for such a simple challenge. I immediately threw stylization out the window and tried to go for full realism which is the exact opposite of what I wanted to do lmao

February came out much better! I'm really happy with this one although I think the shading could be tighter
