Multiple sources report that the IOF, while simultaneously bombarding with planes and drones, is storming Al-Shifa Hospital Complex with ground troops and tanks. They are shooting into the hospital and at least one building is on fire. The situation is still developing and I will update as I get more information.

I was given this keffiyeh by a displaced friend and her family. Her sister composed and performed a concert that honoured how their family history is interwoven with Palestinian resistance. It was an honour to participate in the translation process for the concert handouts in English and it has been an honour to be loved by them.

Folks, we have the first commissioned poem. The prompt was animals or birds. More on my Poems for Palestine fundraiser here. I have been thinking of Fady Joudah's A Palestinian Meditation in a Time of Annihilation: Thirteen Maqams for an Afterlife. I think about how the birds will return. This poem reckons with a photograph from Jordan Valley, Palestine, of a man trying to save doves.
