Alien Pose Prompts
I was thinking about how it can be difficult to figure out our own creatures' anatomies because there are no direct references to draw from, and how I tend to draw my aliens in the same poses, and boom, this happened. Prompts to practice and push the limits of your alien's anatomy :) Aimed at sophonts, but a lot of them can apply to non-sapient beasties too.

I was getting pretty fed up with links and generators with very general and overused weapons and superpowers and what have you for characters so:
Here is a page for premodern weapons, broken down into a ton of subcategories, with the weapon’s region of origin.
Here is a page of medieval weapons.
Here is a page of just about every conceived superpower.
Here is a page for legendary creatures and their regions of origin.
Here are some gemstones.
Here is a bunch of Greek legends, including monsters, gods, nymphs, heroes, and so on.
Here is a website with a ton of (legally attained, don’t worry) information about the black market.
Here is a website with information about forensic science and cases of death. Discretion advised.
Here is every religion in the world.
Here is every language in the world.
Here are methods of torture. Discretion advised.
Here are descriptions of the various methods used for the death penalty. Discretion advised.
Here are poisonous plants.
Here are plants in general.
Feel free to add more to this!

Finally found a better place to host Kaivasita!
Please download the version from here instead, as not only will the google drive link not work anymore soon, but this version has a few minor fixes to things I missed (mostly small formatting issues)
Please share this around!
Also, if anyone has any suggestions of where else I can upload this I'm still open to ideas, I'm looking to host Kaivasita in as many places as possible.
IF YOU LIKE, PLEASE REBLOG AS WELL!
(Please, hardly anyone bothers with books these days, especially not original fiction, and it's hard to get attention for something this ambitious when you have a follower count as small as mine. I've been working on this for 3 years all by myself, I'm doing this for completely free and my budget is zero, this is the only way I can advertise this book aside from people sharing the pdf itself. Even if you don't read it, someone who follows you might. Please, please, please reblog.)

I'm also active at @octahedral-chaos, but I want to start posting here again. I also want to work on @solarclock-lepigriffs as well, so you can also follow over there if you want.
If you're an artist and are having trouble building followers, especially if you're new on tumblr or back after leaving, reblog this with some of your art. It will be visible to everyone checking the notes. Everyone keep checking the notes and follow whoever puts their cool art in them. People keep telling me I'm Tumblr famous so maybe this helps!

Next are the tundra palindromes! These guys live way up north on volcanic steppes whose foliage is filled with ph-responsive dye. It's very cold, even for palindrome standards, but these guys are a very populous ecotype.
Tundra palindromes are the largest of the palindromes. They're a light blue with colorpoints and light spots most of the time, and their insides are significantly lighter than other palindromes. The type shown here is the central tundra type, while the other three are included on the side: Western, which is lighter, Eastern, which is more vibrant, and Island, which is darker and spotless.
They use dyes from the red/blue groundcover that surrounds them, and it almost always ends up red after a while. Though... maybe if you poured something acidic on their clothes the red parts would turn blue? However, with ash falling around from the volcanoes all the time, their red clothes tend to stay red. They use a lot of layers in their clothing.
Their settlements are usually a handful of X-shaped walls made of plaster and clay, and no matter which way the wind is blowing there will always be a quiet corner that isn't hit by it. They're fond of wall art.
As for their language, they have a similar color system to grassland palindromes which has a word for darkness, light, people (light blue), two states of foliage (red and blue), soil (greyish brown) and an additional unique word. Here this color represents the fluorescent pinks of the auroras that they see.
For name tones, they use a low note for red patches, a midtone note for no patches, and a high note for green patches. Or, they wouldn't call it green, they'd probably call it "light".

Spritelings and Greater Flowerblooms: Anthroponymy (AKA names, names and lots of names!)
To get back in the swing of things, I decided to make an entire post dedicated to everything you might want to know about Spriteling and Flowerbloom names! Buckle up because this might be a pretty long post!
Spritelings
Spritelings generally uses repeating names for any proper noun, especially names! They're usually 1-2 syllables long and repeats 2-3 times. Good examples would be RenRen, LuLu, etc
They also tend to be a bit melodic, and uses softer syllables like l, C, U, etc. They can also use harsher syllables, namely R and Z.
However, this can vary! There's also longer (but still relatively short) names that might not repeat! Like the names of the different ethnic groups. However, this is rare for given names. Some examples of these types of names are Zepyth, Relei and Leishi.
Greater Flowerblooms
Similarly to Spritelings, Flowerblooms also uses short (Usually 2-3 syllables) names. However, they aren't repeating, but are usually palindromic!
They tend to use slightly harsher syllables than spritelings, usually K, X or V.
Similar to spritelings, naming conventions can vary from place to place, and there are trends in names that can change!
Some example of Flowerbloom names are Kuraruk, Xinix and Zuruz.
LuLu may seem like an oddball in this regard, and you'll be right! They're named in spriteling convention. This is because they actually didn't have a name before meeting RenRen, so RenRen gave them the nickname of "LuLu."

Holiworves are born blind, furless and completely helpless, staying in their parent’s pouch for the first few years of its life, developing rather quickly. Around 2-4 years, the pup can walk around and have their first coat, which is usually much lighter in colour than their adult coat.
The pups get their adult coat around 5-6 years, and is completely out of the pouch and weaned (The parents regurgitate food similarly to birds instead creating milk like actual mammals). At 15-18 years, the pups develop rapidly, growing and developing adult proportions. Around 19 years, the pup is mature and is considered a young adult, which is usually from 19 to anywhere in the 20s.

Holiworves are a remarkable example of convergence evolution, resembling thylacines to a rather extreme degree. Even their teeth looks similar at first glance, although a closer inspection can give away their identity.
Holiworves have the dental formula of 4.1.3.4/ 3.2.3.4, giving a total of 48 teeth, contrasting with the thylacine’s 46. They also have an extra pair of canines in the top jaw, being shorter than the ‘main’ one, as well as the canines being slightly narrower in Holiworves compared to thylacines. They also have less pronounced dental rills on the molars.
Holiworves are likely descended from large pursuit/ ambush predators and are hypercarnivorous, with meat making around 75% of their diets. They mainly eat small to medium size prey items, such as vertebrates, invertebrates and aquatic animals. They may also supplement their diets with plant and fungi matter, and the occasional licking of certain rocks to get extra minerals.
