Pepper wasn’t surprised to Spike roll into the party late, that always seemed to be a thing of his for as long as she knew him. However, she was glad he had made it to the party after all. making her way across the room to say hello to him, she let out a light laugh at his statement. “Honestly, I was expecting the same. If we’re being honest. But it’s a pretty nice cabin, if I say so myself.“ she said looking around and back at Spike. “The Lodge sisters, I believe are the hosts. and I can’t say for sure, i’ve only been in town for a few weeks.“

“that’s another thing. i thought all cabins were like backwoods animal heads on the walls and old furniture. this is pretty much the ceaser palace of a hunter’s getaway. did i see two hot tubs?” he said looking around. “the lodge sisters, i couldn’t even point which one of them that is, i got here just this week too. i was pretty much a weird at the right place at the right time when i was invited to this thing.”

“ you’re new to riverdale i’m guessing ? “ there’s a half smile on her lips as she nursed her own alcoholic beverage. “ the lodge’s are always nothing short of glamorous , even in the middle of a creepy forest. but they really know how to appeal to their guests. it’s not a common thing , but if someone’s throwing a party , it’s usually them. “ clare notified with brief glance in their host’s direction. “ so is this your first night in riverdale ?? or have you been here longer ? “

“ripe as rain, some might say...” spike narrowed his eyes as he inhaled the smoke. he’d never been or heard of riverdale so getting any information on the place was helpful and just by what she was saying maybe she could be useful to him for now. “too bad, looks like im going to have to scrape up my meals from somewhere else. i mean have you seen that spread. call chef ramsey and tell him to nail the coffin right now.” spike leaned back and shook his head. “nah, i’ve been here a few days. what about yourself?”

spike was fashionably late, or maybe he just happened to be on time according to his usual schedule. too bad he needed to catch up with the others on the drinks though. he grabbed his drink from the bar and sitting back on a lounge chair that was far too nice for his taste he chuckled. “when i was told to come to a cabin in the woods i was expecting more of a...slather flick and s’mores kinda thing.” he looked around at the luxurious decor. “i wasn’t expecting this place to be nicer than that old riverdale slum motel i stay at...and the karaoke adds to that cherry on top. who is the host of this party again?” the man lscoffed and began to light a cigarette between his lips. it’s smoke fueling him through the rest of this night. “so uh, tell me. is this a usual gig to have around this town? cause i can get used to the free food and drinks thing.”

( constantly burning cigarette between a thin lipped grin , the neverending hunger but always empty pockets , one eye lighter than the other ) – wait ! Is that ( shiloh fernandez ) ?? No , according to their file that’s ( spike spiegel ) from ( cowboybebop ). i heard they are ( twenty seven ) and ( he ) ( is ) known for being ( laid back ) , but also ( stubborn ). if you ’re looking for ( him ) you’d have a good chance looking in ( pop’s dinner ). it’s very clear that they are a ( cancer ) since they have ( i wanna know ) playing by ( tea ) on repeat. hopefully they’ll have what it takes to survive !

EARLIER LIFE

not much is to say about his upbringing, it was too normal to really put a punch in him and too boring for him to ever bring up. but this would be a lie to hide the trauma he would rather just forget. an orphan moved around from family to family raised in the slums of manhattan learning quick to become a thug, a thief, and finally a criminal after joining the red dragon

a smart guy and extremely well, adaptive he got caught up in the wrong crowd and didn’t know it but crime was just something he knew and was good at. then during a mission for the red dragon he got in an accident that led to him losing his right eye all around the time of fallig in love with a girl named julia. his love for her was so great he wanted to give up crime so a plan to fake his death and run off with her was set only when they were supposed to meet she never showed and left him alone. he still faked his death and ended up running into jet; later becoming his best friend and bounty hunter partner.  never thinking or talking much about his past or julia.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM INBETWEEN THE SEVEN YEARS ?

he has come across riverdale after he decided a break was needed from bounty hunting. the town though, he never figured is full of criminals but unlike most seem to be running the police. with no bounties means no money and soon spike will have to do something if he wants to eat anything more than bell peppers and beef. the joke...he’s too poor to afford the beef.

HEADCANONS:

despises the smell of cooking bell peppers; when he and jet would really be scraping for nickles on a week to week basis between bounty hunts it’s the only thing jet would make. ironically he called it broke beef and peppers. spike never found this funny

he has a welsh corgi named Ein, short for Einstein; despite the fact that he hates pets

just before faking his death and running from the red dragon he was supposed to be their successor next to vicious, a notoriously heartless and feared person who if found out that spike was still alive would surely come for him.

he’s completely addicted to tv, being a couch potato, and cigarettes. there is rarely a time when he isn’t smoking.

one eye is lighter than the other.

people think spike is abnormally lucky, he always seems to win in gambles but this doesn’t mean he even enjoys it.
