I am misunderstood a lot. I am not shy about my sexuality, & I put my sense of humor on the forefront. It is a relief that there’s at least one person who is able and willing to embrace ALL sides of me. My past, my potential, my humorous side, intellectual side, the good, & the ugly. It’s not an “easy” job to be by my side every day .. but I’m so happy I found the one person who seems to enjoy it.

That statement wasn’t meant to be a knock against his white neighbor. It’s an example of the extra steps black Americans need to take in order to reach the same levels of success as their white counterparts.

Knowing how to be solitary is central to the art of loving. When we can be alone, we can be with others without using them as a means of escape.

March was literally the most insane month I’ve experienced. It gets harder the older we get, doesn’t it? My stress levels have definitely peaked .. I wouldn’t have remained sane if it wasn’t for my #1 support system. Thankfully we get to go away this weekend. A trip we both deserve and worked so hard for.

My schedule has put me through sleep deprivation, starvation (at times), stress, and has fucked up my social interaction. Come April, it will mark my one year anniversary of working these two jobs. I finally seem to have found a balance, but I still feel off. Time to sleep with this heavy heart .. better than anger right?

School for 12 years, college for 4 years, then you work until you die. Cool.
